Football Multi Bet: $10.47 Tip for Wednesday

Football Multi Bet
Wednesday’s Champions League action holds plenty of great betting opportunities. I’ve built a football multi bet around three ties where one team’s form is hard to argue against. We’re talking an away win with goals in Istanbul, a Bayern demolition job, and Atletico taking apart a Tottenham side that’s in tatters, for a combined return just above 10x on most betting sites in NZ.

Galatasaray vs Liverpool
Wednesday March 11, 7:45am NZT, Rams Park
Liverpool lost 1-0 at this ground in the league phase back in October, and that result has been nagging at me ever since. Galatasaray have won four consecutive home matches against Liverpool stretching back to 2003 - Rams Park is one of those venues where the crowd alone is worth half a goal. That’s why I’m not backing a clean sheet here.
But Liverpool’s away record in the knockout rounds is too strong to ignore. They’ve won the away leg in nine of their last 12 round-of-16 ties. Mohamed Salah has three goals in his past five appearances and tends to save his best for these nights.
Galatasaray scored 20 goals across their last 13 European home matches, so they’ll have a go. I just think Liverpool’s 20 goals from eight league-phase games means they’ll come out on top, even if they ship one.
Atalanta vs Bayern Munich
Wednesday March 11, 9:00am NZT, Gewiss Stadium
This is the leg I’m most confident about. Bayern have scored three or more in four of their last five. They put four past Monchengladbach on Friday without Harry Kane, who was rested with a calf knock. Vincent Kompany expects Kane to be fit, and if he is, that’s 45 goals in 37 games this season walking into a defence that’s been leaky already.
Atalanta haven’t won in three - two 2-2 draws and a loss. Bayern, on the other hand, finished second in the league phase with seven wins from eight and 22 goals scored. They’ve won at PSV, PSG and Pafos away in Europe this season.
I’d have backed them at shorter odds on betting apps to be honest.
Atletico Madrid vs Tottenham
Wednesday March 11, 9:00am NZT, Riyadh Air Metropolitano
I feel a bit bad tipping against Tottenham at this point, it’s like kicking a man while he’s down. They’re on five consecutive Premier League defeats, with nine goals conceded in three matches under Igor Tudor. They sit one point above the relegation zone, and their only two wins in 2026 came in the Champions League before Tudor even arrived. Read: this is a team in utter crisis.
Atletico’s Alexander Sorloth has 11 goals in 2026, second only to Kane across Europe’s top five leagues. He scored a hat-trick against Club Brugge in the playoff round and opened the scoring inside five minutes against Real Sociedad last weekend.
Atletico aren’t perfect though. They haven’t kept a clean sheet in the Champions League this season. But against a Tottenham side conceding two or more in six straight… Over 2.5 goals and a home win feels like one of the safer bets on the card.
My football betting tips for this one are pretty straightforward: back Atletico to do what they always do in knockout football at home. Win. Big.
