Football Multi Bet: $10.58 Tip for Wednesday

I’ve uncovered a Champions League football multi bet for Wednesday that I’m quite excited about this week. Three knockout play-off first legs, three results I’m confident in, and a healthy return if they all come through on NZ betting sites. Read on to see how Juventus, Borussia Dortmund and PSG can bag you a $10.58 return.

Galatasaray vs Juventus

Wednesday February 18, 6:45am NZT, RAMS Park

Juventus finished the Champions League league phase in 13th, seven spots above Galatasaray. I expect this gap in quality to be on show here.

Galatasaray went winless across their final four European fixtures before the break, and they haven’t looked great at the back, conceding in six of their last eight Champions League outings. Juve’s domestic form has been patchy too, losing to Inter and Atalanta recently.

But in Europe, they’ve been a different beast under the lights. Bremer and Kalulu at the back are reliable, while Jonathan David has the kind of clinical finishing to punish half-chances. Galatasaray will throw the kitchen sink at Juventus in Istanbul, but I fancy them to soak up the pressure and grab a first-leg advantage.

Borussia Dortmund vs Atalanta

Wednesday February 18, 9:00am NZT, Signal Iduna Park

There’s no tougher away trip in European football than Signal Iduna Park, particularly on a big European night. Dortmund have scored 10 goals in their home Champions League games this season, including a 4-0 demolition of Villarreal and a 4-1 win over Athletic Bilbao. They hammered Mainz 4-0 in the Bundesliga last time out too, with Serhou Guirassy bagging a brace.

Atalanta, on the other hand, have been decent domestically, beating Lazio 2-0 and thumping Juventus 3-0. But their away European form tells a different story. I’ve seen solid value at Bet and Play for a Dortmund home win, and I think this is the way to go for the second leg of this football multi. Bottom line, I just think Atalanta will struggle to stay on top of the combination of Dortmund’s wide players and the fierce atmosphere.

Monaco vs PSG

Wednesday February 18, 9:00am NZT, Stade Louis II

PSG are heavy favourites to win this fixture across betting apps and for good reason. They’ve been averaging close to three goals a game in the Champions League this time around, and their 5-0 thrashing of Marseille a couple of weeks back showed what they’re capable of when everything clicks. Even without Dembele and Hakimi - who are currently suspended - their depth is frightening.

I’m going with PSG to win, but I’m adding both teams to score to pump up the value a little. The reason being Monaco have found the net in seven of their last nine meetings with PSG. My football expert tips for this leg point towards PSG taking control, but Monaco have enough to grab a consolation - Folarin Balogun can be a handful on his day. Priced at $2.40 by Bet and Play, this wraps up our multi nicely.
