Football Multi Bet: $10.23 Tip for Wednesday

I’ve been looking at this Wednesday’s Champions League second legs and put together a football multi bet for the midweek action. There is some serious profit to be made on betting sites in NZ if these results land as expected. I’m focusing on three matches where momentum points one way, and with a couple of BTTS selections mixed in, this multi adds up to a handy 10x return.

Newcastle vs Qarabag

Wednesday February 25, 8:00am NZT, St James’ Park

This tie is already done. Newcastle destroyed Qarabag 6-1 in the first leg, with Anthony Gordon grabbing four goals in Baku. The aggregate lead is five, making this match at St James’ Park more of a victory lap than a contest.

However, I still expect both teams to score. Newcastle haven’t kept a clean sheet in their last five matches, and Qarabag have found the net in eight of their last nine UCL games. They won’t go quietly, even with the result already decided.

But as they were in the first leg, Newcastle’s forward line of Gordon, Harvey Barnes and Nick Woltemade should be too much for a defence that’s conceded 27 goals in nine Champions League outings. I’m backing a comfortable home win with goals at both ends.

Leverkusen vs Olympiacos

Wednesday February 25, 8:00am NZT, BayArena

Leverkusen took care of business in Piraeus with a 2-0 win, and I can’t see Olympiacos turning this around in Germany.

Olympiacos need two goals without reply just to force extra time, which means they’ll push forward and leave gaps. That plays right into Leverkusen’s hands. Patrik Schick scored twice in three minutes in the first leg, continuing his brilliant form that’s seen him land four goals in his last four Champions League games. He’ll be chomping at the bit for some open space. Alejandro Grimaldo has been equally as lethal on the left wing.

I’m taking a straightforward home win in leg two of this football betting multi.

Inter vs Bodo/Glimt

Wednesday February 25, 8:00am NZT, San Siro

This is the pick that gives this multi its big odds, but I’m confident in it.

Bodo/Glimt pulled off a stunning 3-1 win in the first leg, and Inter need to overturn a two-goal deficit at home. It’s a big ask, but if any venue can produce a European comeback, it’s the San Siro.

Inter have won seven of their last eight across all competitions and sit top of Serie A. Losing Lautaro Martinez to injury hurts, but Marcus Thuram and Pio Esposito give them enough firepower.

Bodo/Glimt won’t just shut up shop though. They’ve beaten Manchester City 3-1, Atletico Madrid 2-1 and Inter 3-1 in their last three UCL games. They’ll attack, and that should leave space for both sides to score.

I’ve checked a few of the best betting apps in NZ and the price for an Inter win with BTTS at $2.40 is great value to round off this multi.
