Football Multi Bet

The Premier League weekend has just ended, but Kiwi punters can look forward to some mid-week betting opportunities in the EFL Cup. As always, we have combined a three-bet football multi that has the potential to return a sweet $10.20.

Multi Bet Tip

Swansea vs Manchester City

Thursday October 30, 8:45am NZT, Swansea.com Stadium

Manchester City go to Wales on Thursday for an EFL Cup fourth round clash with Championship outfit Swansea City.

The visit couldn't come at a worse time for Pep Guardiola's side, who are still dealing with Monday's 1-0 loss to Aston Villa. A cup victory could provide the reset his team needs.

And Swansea? They're riding high after downing Norwich 2-1. Even the best new betting sites, however, are not showing much confidence in Alan Sheehan’s side.

The Swans have already beaten a Premier League side to make it this far. Manchester City though, even with rested key players, should be a far more difficult adversary than Nottingham Forest.

Expect goals to fly in this one, with a bet on this being over 3.5 goals getting our multi off to a strong start.

Wolves vs Chelsea

Thursday October 30, 8:45am NZT, Molineux Stadium

Another 8:45am kick-off is on the cards next, though this time it's an all-Premier League clash. Wolves welcome the inconsistent Chelsea to Molineux, desperately hoping the cup competition can kickstart their season.

It's been rough going for the Midlands club lately - their home defeat to Burnley saw fans booing them off the pitch. The EFL Cup has offered a welcome escape, though, with victories over fellow top-flight sides West Ham and Everton getting them to this stage.

Not many football betting tips experts saw Chelsea's defeat to Sunderland at Stamford Bridge coming. Most expect them to beat Wolves, but as we've seen, the hosts have been much sharper in the League Cup than they have in the league.

We're backing both teams to find the net in this one.

Newcastle vs Tottenham

Thursday October 30, 9:00am NZT, St. James’ Park

Newcastle welcome Tottenham to St James' Park on Thursday for an EFL Cup fourth-round clash that will send one side through to the quarters.

The Magpies left it late but got the job done against Fulham in the league, whilst Spurs showed no mercy in hammering Everton 3-0. Tottenham's away form in the Premier League has been brilliant this term. They've picked up four wins and a draw without losing once. Newcastle, on the other hand, have been far less consistent.

Thomas Frank’s men should progress, even though betting apps in NZ consider them the underdogs.
