Multi Bet Tip

Liverpool vs Everton

September 20th, 12:30, Anfield

After the Manchester Derby last weekend, it is time for Merseyside to take centre stage as Liverpool host Everton at Anfield.

It was a familiar story for the Reds in midweek as they just snuck by a dogged Atletico Madrid side 3-2, courtesy of a late Virgil Van Dijk header. It was the fifth match in a row where Arne Slot’s men scored deep into the game, and many have been left scratching their heads as to how good this Liverpool side are.

In Everton, Liverpool will face off against one of the form teams in the league. After suffering a disappointing 1-0 defeat to Leeds on the opening weekend of the season, David Moyes’ side have bounced back well with wins against Brighton and Wolves. They were unlucky not to beat Aston Villa, having to settle for a 0-0 draw.

When it comes to the Merseyside Derby, matches between the two teams are often close. In the last three derbies, both teams have been on the winning side, with their being one draw. However at Anfield you have to go all the way back to 2021 for when Everton last beat their great rivals.

David Moyes will want to keep things tight and frustrate the Anfield crowd and that could play into bettors’ hands. Six of the last seven games between the teams have resulted in under 2.5 goals and there is every opportunity that could happen once more this weekend.

Liverpool vs Everton under 2.5 goals - 2.30

Burnley vs Nottingham Forest

September 20th, 15:00, Turf Moor

When scouring through the odds ahead of this weekend’s Premier League matches, the undisputed value play looks to be between Burnley and Nottingham Forest. As it stands Ange Postecoglou’s men are the clear favourites, but we think we can take them on here.

Since replacing Nuno Espirito Santo at the City Ground, Big Ange’ has experienced two defeats. Yes, his first match against Arsenal can hardly be counted against him, but Wednesday’s Carabao Cup loss to Swansea will cause Forest fans cause for concern. Defensive frailties is what ended up costing Ange his job at Spurs with new Spurs boss almost equaling last season’s clean sheet tally after just five games. Forest have conceded six goals in Ange’s first two games and it’s difficult to not see Burnley creating chances this weekend.

Through the last two gameweeks Burnley have shown plenty of heart, organisation and bottle and have been desperately unlucky to have lost to both Manchester United and Liverpool courtesy of stoppage time penalties.

There is plenty to like about Scott Parker’s side and they will hope to reproduce the type of performance that saw them beat Sunderland 2-0 in the second week of the season. On their day, Forest have players that can win them any match, and that could well be the case here – however with form to prove and momentum against them, ignoring Burnley at their current price just can’t be done and we will back them to come out on top here.

Burnley to Win – 3.20

Manchester United vs Chelsea

September 20th,  17:30, Old Trafford

Saturday’s Premier League action is headlined by Chelsea’s trip to Old Trafford. In what is a blockbuster contest between two giants of the Premier League, both sides head into the encounter with questions to answer. Let’s start with Chelsea.

Still unbeaten in the Premier League, they have two wins and two draws but would have been left disappointed in conceding a late goal to Brentford to only leave the G-Tech Community Stadium with just one point. The Blues then proved to be no match for a brilliant Bayern Munich side in midweek coming unstuck by a Harry Kane brace and losing the game 3-1.

The expectation is that Chelsea will be in and around the Premier League title race this season, in order to cement themselves as one of the Premier League’s big guns, this is a match they can ill-afford to lose.

Over in Manchester the pressure is piling on Reuben Amorim. Statistically the worst manager in Utd’s history when it comes to win rate, the knives are already being sharpened, and rumours are starting to swirl that the Portugese is running out of time to save his job. With just four points through their first four games, this is Utd’s worst ever start to a Premier League campaign and it’s hard to see the good times return this weekend.

Cole Palmer has overcome his injury issue and has scored in each of Chelsea’s last two games, and he could be the difference maker here. Backing him to score or assist could be one of the best bets of the match.

Cole Palmer to score or assist vs Manchester United – 1.83
