Football Multi Bet: $14.88 Tip for Friday

I don’t usually recommend tips on the Europa League, but this Friday things are a little different. There are a raft of fixtures kicking off early morning for us Kiwis, and a couple of them can be meshed into a juicy multi bet returning just shy of 15x. I dunno about you, but that sounds like a good way to end the week to me. Read on for a breakdown of which markets I’m high on across these Europa fixtures.

Friday March 13, 9:00am NZT, City Ground

Forest are priced at $1.60, and I get why there might be a little hesitation to back them at these odds. They’ve won just one of their last five across all competitions and sit 17th in the Premier League with 28 points from 29 games. 

But they’ve been a different side in the Europa League. 

Forest thumped Fenerbahce 3-0 away in the playoff first leg and produced 21.4 xG across the league phase, the best in the entire competition. Then there’s the revenge angle: Midtjylland beat them 3-2 at the City Ground back in October.

Igor Jesus has seven goals from eight European appearances, and if he’s switched on, the Danish backline will struggle. Midtjylland are second in the Superliga and impressive in the league phase with 19 points, but a knockout tie in Nottingham is a step up. I’m backing Forest at home.

Friday March 13, 6:45am NZT, Stade Pierre-Mauroy

$3.00 for Lille at home is the standout price in this multi. They’ve won three of their last five and been rock-solid defensively. 

Villa are a mess right now. One win in their last five, four goals scored, 10 conceded. Chelsea ripped them apart 4-1 at Villa Park last time out. 

Lille came from behind against Crvena Zvezda in the playoffs, winning 2-0 away in the second leg. They’ve got a sharp attack, with Olivier Giroud on nine goals in all competitions and Hakon Arnar Haraldsson on eight.

Friday March 13, 6:45am NZT, Stadio Renato Dall’Ara

Roma are without Paulo Dybala, Artem Dovbyk, Matias Soule and Evan Ferguson through injury, plus Gianluca Mancini is suspended. Donyell Malen has been brilliant since arriving in January with six goals in seven Serie A games, but he can’t carry a depleted squad alone. 

Bologna, on the other hand, won five straight before stumbling 2-1 against Verona at the weekend. Santiago Castro and Riccardo Orsolini have combined for 14 Serie A goals, and Bologna coach Vincenzo Italiano leads Gian Piero Gasperini 7-5 across 15 career meetings. Anyone following football betting tips will have flagged this already.
