Germany
Germany will be rather disappointed after their team failed to secure a spot in the final, but they will certainly look to win this one.
Not only is it a home match where fans will expect a victory, but manager Julian Nagelsmann will also want to win. There’s also the historic rivalry between these two teams, which extends beyond just the pitch and will add more stakes to the matchup.
Manager Nagelsman might change the lineup as a consequence because this match is much less consequential compared to that one. Still expect some really good players to see the field and more importantly an effort that might be greater as they try to prove themselves in the national kit.
We’ll see if it will be enough to beat France as they are considered underdogs across football betting sites.
Team News: Nothing to note at this stage.
Predicted Lineup: Ter Stegen; Kimmich, Tah, Anton, Mittelstadt; Gross, Goretzka; Gnabry, Wirtz, Sane; Undav.
France
France expected better from themselves than what they produced against Spain. It was a chance for them to avenge the loss from the European Championships last year, but it didn’t work out.
Spain once again proved why they’re considered one of the best, if not the best, teams in the world. This match will be a redemption chance for France, but their motivation might be a bit questionable.
After all, it’s a third-place match, and they’re not even playing at home, so we might see a mixed lineup. Either way, there is prestige to be had, and the team doesn’t lack quality players in the rotation as we’ve seen towards the end against Spain where a few almost turned things around.
Team News: Nothing to note at this stage.
Predicted Lineup: Maignan, Pavard, Konate, Lenglet, L. Hernandez, Zaire-Emery, Tchouameni, Guendouzi, Olise, Dembele, Mbappe.
