UEFA World Cup Qualifiers: Hungary vs Portugal - Betting Tips, Odds & Prediction

UEFA World Cup Qualifiers - Hungary vs Portugal
Portugal will be keen to take a grip on Group F when they travel to the Puskas Arena to take on Hungary. On what looks like one of the best games in European Qualification, Hungary will need to bounce back from a disappointing 2-2 draw against Ireland, whilst Portugal will want to build on a convincing victory over Armenia where they were at their devastating best in a 5-0 rout.
Hungary vs Portugal Analysis
Hungary
Hungary would have had high hopes of running Portugal close in Group F but a hugely disappointing 2-2 draw against the Republic of Ireland in their first game, where they held a 2-0 lead has left them with plenty of work to do. Defeat against Portugal will likely mean that top spot in the group will be out of the question. Although it isn’t a must win match, it certainly is a must not lose.
Team News: Rolland Sallai will be missing from this match thanks to the red card he picked up in the 2-2 draw with Ireland.
Predicted Lineup: Dibusz, Nego, Orban, Szalai, Kerkez, Styles, Bolla, Toth, Szoboszlai, Dardai, Varga
Portugal
Portugal’s golden era is reaching it’s final cycle with players such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Bruno Fernandes, Reuben Dias and Bernado Silva probably playing their last World Cup in 2026. As ever Portugal are a hugely talented side and that talent was on full display as they brushed aside Armenia in a convincing 5-0 win. Thanks to Hungary’s draw vs Ireland they can take full command of the group with a win on Tuesday night.
Team News: Portugal seem to have emerged from the Armenia match unscathed, whether Ronaldo starts will be the main talking point in the lead up to kick-off.
Predicted Lineup: Costa, Mendes, Dias, Inacio, Cancelo, Neto, Neves, Fernandes, Felix, Ronaldo, Vitinha

The Puskas Arena is one of the most atmospheric in all of Europe and with Hungary needing a result you can be assured that the crowd will be doing their best to get their team a result. Hungary vs Portugal – The Ultimate Bet:
Bruno Fernandes to score or assist
Bruno Fernandes can sometimes cut a frustrated figure at Manchester United but often seems to save his best when donning the Portuguese shirt. Much of Portugal’s best attacking work goes through Fernandes and at odds of 1.80 to provide either a goal or assist, that looks like value that can’t be turned down.
