Liverpool
Liverpool have not looked like the most defensively settled team in the league in their first two games. The Reds appeared quite shaky at the back and it nearly cost them on both occasions. Bournemouth restored parity in Anfield, before Federico Chiesa and Mohamed Salah scored late to snatch away the three points.
Arne Slot’s men threw away a two-goal cushion once again when they traveled to St.James Park. A 10-men Newcastle came from behind to level the scores, but a historic goal from 16-year-old Rio Ngumoha handed them another win.
Team News: Conor Bradley did not appear to be 100% fit against Newcastle, so Slot might try Curtis Jones at right-back.
Predicted Lineup: Alisson; Jones, Konate, Van Dijk, Kerkez; Gravenberch, Mac Allister; Salah, Wirtz, Gakpo; Ekitike.
Arsenal
Arsenal were unable to produce a stellar show against Manchester United in their first game, but they did what mattered the most. Just like many football betting tips specialists had predicted, the Gunners returned from Old Trafford with a 1-0 win.
There were concerns about the team’s chemistry, but all those fears were put to rest in Arsenal’s first home game of the season. New striker Viktor Gyokeres fired a brace as Mikel Arteta’s men demolished Leeds 5-0 at the Emirates.
Team News: Arteta might hand Eberechi Eze his first start since Bukayo Saka is out injured.
Predicted Lineup: Raya; Timber, Saliba, Gabriel, Calafiori; Nwaneri, Zubimendi, Rice; Eze, Gyokeres, Martinelli.
