Manchester United vs Everton Analysis

Manchester United

Since stepping in as Manchester United’s head coach a year ago, Amorim has finally put together his first five-match unbeaten run. His side has picked up three wins and two draws in their last five matches.

Amorim won the Premier League Manager of the Month Award for United's successful run in October. But, a draw against second-to-bottom Nottingham Forest has let some of the old anxiety seep back in.

Team News: Benjamin Sesko has not returned to training since coming off with a knee injury against Tottenham Hotspur right before the international break.

Predicted Lineup: Lammens; Yoro, De Ligt, Shaw; Amad, Casemiro, Fernandes, Dalot; Mbeumo, Mazraoui; Cunha.

Everton

Moyes’ second spell at Everton has produced a steady start to life at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, with the Toffees picking up four wins, four draws and three defeats. Statistically, Everton have outperformed their last season’s points tally by 50%.

The best betting sites in NZ, however, still consider them the underdogs ahead of their trip to Old Trafford. They have failed to take any points from their three matches played against Big 6 opponents. The Toffees will be desperate to change that on Monday.

Team News: Everton came out of the international break without any fresh injury concerns. However, long-term absentees Jarrad Branthwaite and Nathan Patterson are still nowhere near a return.

Predicted Lineup: Pickford; O'Brien, Keane, Tarkowski, Mykolenko; Garner, Gueye; Ndiaye, Dewsbury-Hall, Grealish; Beto.

Manchester United vs Everton Stats and Trends

Manchester United vs Everton Prediction

Manchester United finally look like a settled team. Amorim’s system feels looser and more fluid, and they’ve often brushed Everton aside in recent league meetings. They’ve won four of their last six matches against Everton, all with clean sheets, and history shows they’re usually too strong for the Toffees at Old Trafford.

Football betting tips specialists, however, will also take a closer look at the last two matches between these two sides. Amorim’s side hammered Everton 4-0 at Old Trafford, but had to settle for a point at Goodison Park months later.

So, Amorim did not lose in any of the two matches he managed against Moyes’s Everton. In the last match, however, Moyes did trouble Amorim’s team after suffering a heavy defeat in the first match. Can we see that trajectory of improvement continue on Monday?

It doesn’t feel especially likely, though. United are in far better spirits than they were a few months back. Everton can certainly make things difficult, but we still fancy United to take this one.

Manchester United vs Everton - The Ultimate Bet

Bruno Fernandes to Score First @ $9.00

Fernandes has an excellent record against Everton. The Manchester United captain has returned six goals and five assists in his 11 matches against the Merseyside outfit so far.

Amorim has often deployed Fernandes deeper in midfield this season, but with Sesko out of the picture, Fernandes might get an advanced role.

The Portugal international has scored only twice this season. However, his strong record against Everton and a potential change in position leads us to believe he could open the scoring on Tuesday. With Bet and Play pricing this market at $9, it’s a punt we’re willing to take.
