Football Multi Bet

I’ve looked closely at the form for this weekend’s fixtures and managed to find a brilliant multi if I may say so myself. Assuming these picks land as I expect, there’s some decent money to be found on New Zealand betting sites. I’ve picked out three matches where the favourites should dominate but the bookies still present plenty of value, so read on if you’re keen to kick off the year with a winning football multi bet.

Multi Bet Tip

Aston Villa vs Nottingham Forest

Sunday January 4, 1:30am NZT, Villa Park

Villa Park has become a genuine fortress for Aston Villa this season, and I don’t think Nottingham Forest will get anything from this trip. Villa are playing with confidence to burn and their ability to score early is unmatched at the moment. They’ve got quality throughout the squad, particularly in attack where they create chances at a rate of knots.

Nottingham Forest, on the other hand, are hit and miss on the road. They’ve struggled for consistency and often get trapped by teams that press hard. I think the hosts will be too clinical. I’m backing a straight win for Aston Villa at modest odds of $1.80 with Bet and Play to start our multi.

Brighton vs Burnley

Sunday January 4, 4:00am NZT, Amex Stadium

Brighton are fantastic to watch when they’re in the mood, dominating possession and moving the ball so quickly that most teams can’t keep up. I reckon that’s what we’ll be seeing in their clash against Burnley on Sunday.

Burnley have some fight, but their defence is a worry. They’ve been leaking soft goals, and that’s going to be a major problem at the Amex.

My latest football tips suggest taking Brighton on the -1 handicap, as I expect they’ll win by at least two. They’ve got the tactical discipline to control the game and the flair to finish it. It’s a bold call, but I see a comfortable win for the home team here.

Bournemouth vs Arsenal

Sunday January 4, 6:30am NZT, Vitality Stadium

Arsenal are right in the title race and these are the games they absolutely have to win to keep the rest at bay. They’ve found a bit of grit lately, which is helping them pick up points in tough away fixtures. Bournemouth are dangerous at home and they usually nick a goal, but they haven’t got the quality to hold off a top side for the full match.

I’ve checked betting apps in NZ and found value in the away win and both teams to score. Arsenal’s attack is lethal, but they sometimes switch off at the back. I expect a high-scoring one where Arsenal’s class eventually wins out, so I’m going with the away win and both teams to score to wrap things up in this accumulator.
