Three Premier League fixtures on Monday morning NZT make for a solid accumulator heading into the week before Christmas.

Crystal Palace host Man City in a fixture that’s produced 11 goals across two meetings this season. Sunderland welcome Newcastle in the first Tyne-Wear derby since 2016. And Nottingham Forest face a Spurs side in freefall.

There’s value to be had in all these fixtures across NZ betting apps, so read on to find out how you can potentially 10x your money this Monday.

Crystal Palace vs Manchester City

Monday 15 December, 3:00am NZT, Selhurst Park

Crystal Palace beat Manchester City in the FA Cup final back in May. That result still stings, so there will be plenty of feeling in this match.

Palace are humming this season, sitting fourth with 26 points from 15 games — the second-best defensive record in the league. But this fixture produces goals. The two league meetings between these sides this season finished 2-2 and 5-2 to City. On top of this, four straight head-to-heads have cleared 3.5 goals.

The hosts have the talent to hurt City on the counter. In particular, Jean-Philippe Mateta has seven goals to date and will fancy his chances against a defence that’s conceded in 10 of 15 matches. Over 2.5 goals at $2.00 looks solid.

Sunderland vs Newcastle

Monday 15 December, 3:00am NZT, Stadium of Light

Sunderland are back in the top flight after eight years away, so the Stadium of Light will be fizzing for the first Tyne-Wear derby in the Premier League since 2016.

The hosts been impressive at home so far, scoring twice per game on average and remaining unbeaten in front of their own fans this season. Newcastle, meanwhile, have shipped goals in four of their last five away fixtures.

Newcastle do have enough attacking quality to find the net — they’ve scored in 16 consecutive games across all competitions. But Sunderland won’t be overawed. BTTS at $1.75 makes sense in what should be a feisty affair.

Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham

Monday 15 December, 5:00am NZT, City Ground

It’s safe to say Spurs are in trouble. After a promising start, they’ve now suffered back-to-back defeats, sitting ninth with three away losses in a row.

Forest have improved under manager Sean Dyche. Their shock win at Anfield in November showed they’re capable of causing problems, even if recent form has dipped with a 3-0 loss at Everton last time out.

Football betting sites have Forest as slight favourites at home. Spurs at $2.88 looks generous, but their away form is concerning. Draw no bet offers protection — if the match ends level, stakes are returned. I’m backing Spurs to nick it, but not with enough confidence to take them outright.
