Betting sites in NZ are getting busy as the Premier League season is set to begin this weekend. We’ve picked three Sunday fixtures - New Zealand time - that we believe offer the best value for a lucrative three-bet Premier League multi with a potential return of $12.89.

Multi Bet Tip

Brighton vs Fulham

Sunday August 16, 2:00am NZT, American Express Stadium

Brighton almost stunned football betting experts last season by snatching a place in Europe. But their incredible run under Fabian Hurzeler ended with an eighth place finish. The Seagulls lost Joao Pedro to Chelsea, but the likes of Kaoru Mitoma, Yankuba Minteh and Danny Welbeck keep their attacking threat formidable.

Fulham have enjoyed an excellent pre-season campaign, having beaten the likes of Nottingham Forest, Al-Ittihad, and Frankfurt. There’s a feeling of stagnation under Marco Silva, but we can’t rule out Fulham from this tie since they have retained most of their squad. They’ve also lost only once against Brighton in their last five meetings with the South Coast outfit.

A draw is quite undervalued since these two teams don’t look so far apart heading into this clash. So, we are backing a stalemate in this one.

Sunderland vs West Ham

Sunday August 16, 2:00am NZT, Stadium of Light

Sunderland are back in the Premier League for the first time in a decade, and they have spent lavishly in the market to hold on to their top-flight status. The Black Cats spent more than £100 million to bring in 10 players, and former Arsenal and Bayer Leverkusen midfield general Granit Xhaka is one of them.

Betting apps are offering similar odds for over and under 2.5 goals scored in this match. We say there is good reason to believe that there will be goals in this fixture. West Ham have an impressive attack featuring the likes of Jarrod Bowen, Niclas Fulkrug, and Lucas Paqueta. They should be able to punish a Sunderland backline which has several injury-induced absentees.

Tottenham vs Burnley

Sunday August 16, 2:00am NZT, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

Tottenham start life under Thomas Frank with a home match against Burnley. The Lilywhites finished just above relegation zone last season, even though they won the Europa League. Burnley, on the other hand, took only one season to bounce back into the Premier League, thanks to their incredible defensive record under Scott Parker.

Under Frank, Brentford were dominant in the first half against promoted teams last season, winning the opening 45 minutes on five out of six occasions. We expect another fast start at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday.
