Multi Bet Tip

Chelsea vs Crystal Palace

Monday August 18, 1:00am NZT, Stamford Bridge

Football betting sites are considering Chelsea favourites for this match, but this could be a tough test for Enzo Maresca’s men. The Blues have spent lavishly in the summer after winning the Club World Cup. Arrivals of Liam Delap and Joao Pedro, in particular, could be the most decisive as they will address the wastefulness Chelsea showed in front of goal last season.

The defence, however, still remains a concern. Levi Colwill is expected to miss the match. If that’s the case, Chelsea will have a tough time dealing with the attacking threat of Eberechi Eze, Jean-Philippe Mateta, and Ismaila Sarr. The Eagles are soaring high after winning the FA Cup and Community Shield, so we see them securing a draw at Stamford Bridge.

Nottingham Forest vs Brentford

Monday August 18, 1:00am NZT, City Ground

Brentford begin the Keith Andrews era with an away trip to Nottingham Forest this weekend. Both of these sides finished in the top half of the table last season, but for Brentford, living up to last season’s standards would be a big ask since the likes of Bryan Mbeumo, Christian Norgaard, and Mark Flekken have left the club.

Forest have also lost Anthony Elanga, but they still look the stronger side on paper heading into this tie. The Brazilian duo of Jair Cunha and Igor Jesus have joined the club amid much fanfare. Betting apps back the hosts as favourites for this tie, and we believe the Tricky Trees will be too hot to handle at City Ground for a Brentford team in transition.

Manchester United vs Arsenal

Monday August 18, 3:30am NZT, Old Trafford

Manchester United will look to start anew after their horrific 2024/25 campaign. Ruben Amorim has been given the greenlight to oversee a summer overhaul and a new look United side will be eager to treat the Old Trafford crowd to a crucial win against Arsenal.

Arsenal were also heavy spenders this window and they added quality to a side that already challenged for the biggest titles. The Gunners did not lose a match against a traditional Big 6 side over the last two seasons, and we don’t see that trend ending on Monday. It should be a win for Arsenal.
