Football Multi Bet

I’ve had a proper look at the Sunday fixture list and managed to dig out another multi that looks tantalisingly good. If you are keen to jump on some football betting tips this weekend, I reckon this combination of an underdog scrap and a title-charge banker is the way to go.

Multi Bet Tip

Brighton vs Sunderland

Sunday December 21, 4:00am NZT, Amex Stadium

Brighton have been all over the shop lately. They haven’t won in three and looked completely rattled at the back. When you concede seven goals in a fortnight, your confidence takes a massive hit, and the Amex isn’t exactly a fortress right now.

Sunderland, on the other hand, will be buzzing after their 1–0 derby win over Newcastle. Nothing boosts morale quite like getting one over your local rivals. They also showed real steel to nick a point off Liverpool recently. Sunderland are organised, nasty to play against, and I can see them frustrating a Brighton team that is struggling for rhythm.

The bookies still have the hosts as favourites, but I’m not buying it. Sunderland have the momentum, and Brighton look fragile. I’m backing the visitors to take at least a point here, which offers great value on NZ betting sites this weekend.

Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Brentford

Sunday December 21, 4:00am NZT, Molineux Stadium

This has 0–0 written all over it. Wolves just got thrashed 4–1 by United and they look absolutely shot of confidence. They aren’t creating chances, and their defence is leaking goals for fun - a toxic mix.

Brentford aren’t much better. They’ve only scored once in their last three outings and seem more focused on not losing than actually winning. They battled to a draw recently, and I think they will set up to do exactly the same here.

When two teams are this terrified of losing, you usually get a dour midfield battle with very little goalmouth action. I can’t pick a winner because neither team deserves to be favourite. The draw is the smart play with decent odds still on betting apps.

Manchester City vs West Ham

Sunday December 21, 4:00am NZT, Etihad Stadium

City are sitting second and chasing Arsenal hard. They’ve won six of their last seven and look brilliant at the Etihad. City have a track record of chewing up teams in the bottom half, and I expect them to dominate possession from the first whistle.

West Ham are in a proper rut. They are stuck in the bottom three and Nuno Espirito Santo hasn’t got them clicking yet. Drawing away at Bournemouth and United shows they can defend a bit, but City is a different beast entirely.

I can’t see West Ham scoring here, and City will likely put two or three past them. A straight win doesn’t offer much value, so I’m taking City on the -1 handicap. They should cover that comfortably.
