I’ve put together a Premier League multi for this weekend that will have you full of Christmas cheer if it hits. If you’re keen to potentially land a big one on betting apps this week, take a look at this combo involving Arsenal, City and Liverpool.

Multi Bet Tip

Nottingham Forest vs Manchester City

Sunday December 28, 1:30am NZT, City Ground

Manchester City head to the City Ground knowing they can’t afford any slip-ups if they want to stay in the title hunt. They’ve been far from perfect recently, letting silly goals in when they should be putting teams away. Pep Guardiola will be targeting this fixture for a statement performance, and I reckon his players will respond.

Forest are usually tough to beat at home, especially against the teams around them on the table. But when the top dogs visit, they tend to play within themselves a little, sitting too deep and inviting pressure. This is a recipe for disaster against Sunday’s opponents.

I’m expecting City to come out flying. They need to put a marker down here. Forest won’t be able to handle the movement of Haaland and Foden, so I’m backing them to win both halves comfortably as the first leg of our multi.

Arsenal vs Brighton & Hove Albion

Sunday December 28, 4:00am NZT, Emirates Stadium

This match has goals written all over it. Arsenal have been lethal at the Emirates, moving the ball quickly and punishing teams that leave gaps. Their attack is firing, and they will be licking their lips at the prospect of facing the leaky Brighton defence.

Brighton are always a good watch. They play a high line which is risky against pace, but always manage to create chances of their own. In this match, they won’t change their style, which means we could be in for a goal-fest.

My football betting tips for this clash pivot around that assumption. I see a proper shootout with plenty of action at both ends, so over 3.5 goals looks like a great shout.

Liverpool vs Wolverhampton Wanderers

Sunday December 28, 4:00am NZT, Anfield

Liverpool are just a different machine at Anfield. They make it impossible for teams to breathe. Wolves have been on a shocking run, looking lost going forward and shaky at the back. It’s hard to see them getting anything from this trip.

Wolves just don’t have the weapons to hurt Liverpool right now. The Reds have been rock solid at home lately - their centre-backs are winning every header, while their midfield is playing with complete control.

I expect this will be a straightforward afternoon for the hosts. Liverpool grab an early goal, then pick Wolves apart as they tire. A clean 3-0 win seems likely, and pumps up our multi with some healthy odds on betting sites in NZ.
