Switzerland put four past Kosovo to kick off their campaign. Granit Xhaka and company did not have much difficulty in their next match as well. 

So far, Switzerland have scored seven goals in the qualifiers and conceded none. Murat Yakin’s men will look to continue that dominance against Sweden.

Team News: Yakin has a full fit squad at his disposal without any suspensions. So, he is free to name the strongest possible XI on Saturday, which we expect he will.

The hosts were left shell-chocked last month against Kosovo. Sweden could not recover after conceding twice in the first half, and even a late one-man advantage did little to lift their spirits. 

Olsen’s sudden retirement has also added to the tension in the Swedish camp. The veteran goalkeeper was not happy to hear that he was not going to start against Switzerland, and he made his grievances known.

Switzerland, on the other hand, have been in great form.There are no doubts over Xhaka’s captaincy or Yakin’s leadership, and after a strong start to the qualifiers, Switzerland are certainly the better-positioned team ahead of the clash.
