Tottenham are set to face another Big 6 rival this weekend when Manchester United drop by for a Sunday morning Premier League clash. 

Things have turned sour for the hosts following their bright opening to the season. Elimination from the Carabao Cup was followed by a league defeat to neighbours Chelsea. United's recent improvement ground to a halt too, as a battling Forest side rightly claimed a 2-2 draw.

Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur are notorious for being consistently inconsistent and it seems that they haven’t abandoned that trait under Thomas Frank. Two wins, two defeats, and a draw from their last five have now pushed them to sixth in the table. Only a week ago, they were third. 

Optimism regarding Tottenham across football betting sites has already started to fade after their back-to-back losses in the Carabao Cup and Premier League. 

Spurs have been abysmal in front of their home crowd lately. They have taken just one point from their last four outings at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium -  a return that Frank will be eager to improve on.

Manchester United

Ruben Amorim’s job looked to be on the line after September’s defeat at Brentford, with betting apps in New Zealand tipping him as the next manager to go. But a three-match winning streak steadied the ship and eased the pressure on the Portuguese coach.

Nottingham Forest, however, reminded United that problems still remain in their squad. The Tricky Trees were 2-1 up at the City Ground until Amad Diallo’s cracking volley in the 81st minute salvaged a draw for the visitors. 

United enjoyed a flawless October, but dropping points in their first game of November has dented their momentum. The Red Devils have also struggled outside the comforts of Old Trafford, having collected only five of the available 15 points ahead of their North London trip.

Team News: Harry Maguire returned to the bench against Forest. He is in line to start against Tottenham.

Tottenham’s performances at home have been curiously lacklustre of late. They seem more comfortable playing away, but now have the perfect chance to turn things around against a side that can’t seem to get going away from home.

United are now in a four match unbeaten run after a difficult start to the season. The draw at Forest was frustrating, but at least it avoided another morale-sapping defeat — and Amorim will be glad to keep the run ticking over.

On paper, this seems to be the perfect matchup - a team with poor home form vs a team with an underwhelming away record. Still, we feel United can get a win in this one.

The Red Devils have shown that they are capable of winning at places like Anfield and Etihad. Tottenham Hotspur Stadium has been a tough place to visit for United in recent times, but Spurs have been quite inconsistent at home this time around.
