Despite the obvious threat of stablemate Zafar, Enchantment looks to be one of the best bets of the day. Having placed on all three of her first starts, she got off the mark here a few weeks ago and could run well once again.

THE DANGER – Zafar

Zafar is the main danger but will be having the first run of her career here. She is bred to be decent and could well have too much class for this field if getting the hang of things early. There are risks attached but she could be the one to be on.

VALUE BET – Kyoshi Boy

Kyoshi Boy could be the value play of the race. He has placed in his first two starts and then ran a good race at the track last time out. He has experience and has been unlucky not to have got his head in front – this could be the time where it all works out.

A drop back to his preferred trip looks positive for Anderson Bridge who found the step up to 2100m last time out a bridge too far. He has won his last two starts at 1600m and has to be a player in what is a strong race.

There are many dangers in what is an open renewal, but one horse that could be worth monitoring is Our Approval. Having placed in two of his last three races, he has been consistent of late and could be a contender with conditions certain to suit.

VALUE BET – Canasta

Canasta is another player at a price and is in good form. Both of their wins have come at the track, and a return here could see him return to winning ways. He will have a decent chance.

BEST BET – Insatiable

Insatiable represents some top-class connections, and he could take the beating here. Vastly experienced, he has won two of his last four starts and has claimed three of his six victories at this track. He could be the pace angle and could be hard to peg back.

THE DANGER – Illicit Dreams

Illicit Dreams could be the form horse of the race. Having placed in three consecutive starts, she was able to go one place better last time out and is another who goes well at the track. She has to be respected.

VALUE BET – The Good Shepherd

The Good Shepherd is the rank outsider of the field but is definitely in with a chance. A winner last time out at Ascot Park, this is tougher, but he won in gritty style last time. Another front runner, he will try and wind it up from the front and must be massively respected here despite his big price.
