Honour Roll will be the hot favourite in the second race. Representing top connections, his third on debut is the pick of the form on offer and that experience could be valuable here. He is the one to beat.

THE DANGER – Ballerina

Although only fifth on debut, Ballerina is the only other horse in the field who has experience and just like Honour Roll, she could come on for her debut run. She has form in the book and although could be vulnerable to a newcomer if none of the newbies make appeal she could be the play.

VALUE BET – The Queen’s Sword

Usually a Bergerson and Walker horse often comes on for the run but The Queen’s Sword could be the value play. She is well bred and hails from a powerful yard there is plenty to like.

BEST BET – More Bliss

Despite the presence of another Walker and Bergerson horse, the Leila O’Sullivan trained More Bliss will have plenty of followers. Two consecutive second place efforts have come in higher graded races and this could be the perfect landing spot to score a first victory.

THE DANGER – Luvabeel

Luvabeel will be the main danger and boasts a similar profile to the favourite. Representing the Walker and Bergerson yard, she has three seconds from her eight career starts and will be in the reckoning here.

VALUE BET – Choreomania

Whilst both the favourites for the race have had several goes at shedding their maiden tags, Choreomania has just had the one start and produced a pleasing performance on debut. Just denied when finishing second at Pukekohe Park at the start of May, more improvement can be expected here.

BEST BET – Del Inquent

If More Bliss (who we have featured above) doesn’t race here, then Del Inquent will be a warm favourite. Looking for a first win, he has placed in over half of his starts. Whilst that form isn’t electric, it’s some of the best on offer in this field and he could go close.

THE DANGER – Zavador

At a bit of a price Zavador looks appealing. Although he had a slow start to his career, the penny seems to have dropped in his last two starts and he looks to be the pace angle of the contest. His second at Pukekohe Park last time out offers up plenty of encouragement and he could go close here.

VALUE BET – Kenwood House

Our long shot bet of the day is Kenwood House. Looking lately like a horse who will relish the extra trip, he gets that here and he could well better the second he experienced last time out at Pukekohe Park.
