Usually, she has bumped into an improver, but she comes up against plenty of exposed types here. She won’t have a better opportunity to shed her maiden tag than here. She is the one to beat.

THE DANGER – Private Treaty

The only other horse in the lineup with any sort of form to shout about is Private Treaty. A 22-runner maiden, she has placed in ten of those races, but the improvement seems to have slowed. This is a weak contest so she should give her running and her connections will hope that it will be a case of 23rd time lucky.

VALUE BET – Globalist

A chance could be taken on Globalist. He has made just the one start and there could be improvement to come. He faded badly on debut, but this step up in trip could help with more of an emphasis on stamina.

BEST BET – Bonanza

It’s a similar story for Bonanza in the fourth race of the day who is looking to land the first race of her career and looks to be found the perfect race after her promising her debut. Just denied here a few weeks ago, she certainly made impression and with her being more street-smart, she is the one they will need to beat.

THE DANGER – Loose ‘N’ Vegas

Loose ‘N’ Vegas will be making her 9th start and will hope to make her experience count. She knows where the finish line is having placed in three of those eight starts. On her last start she finished ahead of Captain Roy, who then went on to beat Bonanza last time out. She is a big player.

VALUE BET – Inside Edge

Inside Edge finished two places behind Bonanza on his debut and certainly isn’t a forlorn hope here. Improvement is likely to come and although he is almost four times the price of the favourite, he could give those who like to back bigger prices a good run for their money.

BEST BET – Holdem

In the sixth race of the day Holdem wil have plenty of support. She produced her best run for a while when just denied here a couple of weeks ago. Het two career victories have come here and she should find the conditions exactly to her liking. She has a big chance.

THE DANGER – La Voisin

If you can excuse La Voisin’s last run and aren’t put off by her recent absence, she is in with a chance here. A winner at Ashburton back in October, she then stepped up in class and found that too tough. She returns to a reasonable level and if sharp enough is a contender.

VALUE BET – Royal Assent

Royal Assent is our value shot of the day and we hope that she will massively outrun her odds. A winner last time out here, she steps up in distance in the hope that will unlock even more improvement. If she handles the small rise she could run a big race.
