In the fifth race of the day Boss ‘N’ Highheels will likely jump off as a short price favourite and is likely the horse to beat. A winner last time out at the track, that form is amongst the best on offer and if she is allowed to hit the front she will be tough to peg back.

THE DANGER – Hey Now

There are plenty of dangers, but one that stands out is Hey Now. A veteran of this track, he has made 16 starts here, winning four and placing second a further four occasions. His last two runs here have yielded second place finishes and there will be high hopes that he can go one place better here.

VALUE BET – Fakeittillumakeit

Fakeittillumakeit could be a player at a price. He showed a liking for the track when winning last time out at his first attempt. He is drawn well here and despite this being tougher, he can’t be dismissed.

Despite others in the market being favoured above her, we like the look of Bella Luce in the sixth race of the day. She was a winner here last time out and finished above several rivals in that race including Purple Prose. There wasn’t anything lucky about that win and she can’t be ignored here.

THE DANGER – Pax Mundi

Another winner at the track last time out was Pax Mundi. Tried at a higher grade, she found a return to this grade exactly to her liking as she won really well. She faces some experienced rivals here and won’t have things all her own way this time around. She will try to hit the front early and could be hard to peg back.

VALUE BET – Purple Prose

Although defeated by Bella Luce last time out, Purple Prose does look to represent some real value. He represents some top-class connections and has won three times at the track. His best form stacks up well here and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him reverse the form with some of his rivals here.

Iron Maiden could be a danger at a price. Another horse who tasted success when last seen at the track, she is likely to dictate the fractions and try to win off the front. There is plenty to like.

VALUE BET – Wren

Wren is our long shot of the day and despite her price she has a great chance. Another winner last time out at Riccarton Park, her win represents some decent form and a repeat of that here could see her outrun her odds.
