NBA Expert Tips and Best Bets | March 2

Monday’s basketball lineup gives us plenty to work with here in NZ, and I’ve found three picks across NBA betting sites that offer solid value. There’s a big-name rivalry, a playoff positioning battle, and a one-sided affair that could still pay out. Take them all separately or bundle them into a multi for a handy profit.

Nuggets -2.5 | $1.90 @ Betista

These two are locked at 37-23, but Denver have owned this head-to-head all season. They’ve won all three meetings so far, including an overtime thriller on Christmas Day where Jokic racked up 56 points. Speaking of, he’s averaging a triple-double (28.8 points, 12.5 rebounds, 10.4 assists) and has five in February alone.

Edwards is putting up 29.6 per game, so Minnesota aren’t short on attack themselves. But the Wolves just can’t seem to figure Denver out, and home court advantage at Ball Arena tips this one further in the Nuggets’ favour. I’m backing the spread.

Over 224.5 | $2.05 @ VipLuck

Philly are in brilliant form. They’ve won three straight, Maxey just broke Allen Iverson’s all-time franchise three-point record, and has been averaging 31.3 points over his last six. Embiid’s back in the lineup too, putting up 26 and 11 against Miami on Thursday.

Boston are also in decent nick, sitting 39-20 and having just hammered the Nets 148-111 on Friday. Brown is scoring 29.1 per game in Tatum’s absence. The best sports betting apps have the Celtics favoured here, but it’s too risky for me. I’d recommend going for the total instead. These teams can both score, and with both playing well, I expect this goes over 224.5 points easily.

SGA Over 30.5 Points | $1.85 @ Betandplay

Dallas are 21-38 and have gone 2-9 since losing Flagg to a foot injury earlier in February. Without their star, they simply don’t have the ability to slow down SGA, who’s averaging 31.9 points this season.

OKC sit at 46-15 and look to be the real deal this season. SGA has been cooking all year, and against a depleted Dallas side, I expect him to clear the 30.5-points line with ease. It’s the safest play today for me, so if you’re looking to try out any new betting sites, give this market a whirl.
