NBA Expert Tips and Best Bets | March 10

I’ve got three NBA betting NZ tips for your Tuesday afternoon, with a nice mix of value and volume on offer. OKC look set to roll again at home, there’s an angle worth taking in Brooklyn, and Golden State are more functional without their stars than you’d think. Here’s where I’m putting my money.

Thunder -6.5 | $1.90 @ Betista

I’ve watched OKC beat Denver twice already this season. They won 121-111 in Denver back in early February, then 127-121 at home just 10 days ago. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is averaging 31.7 points this year and he looked untouchable in that last meeting. 

Denver are 39-25, but they just copped a 142-103 hiding from the Knicks, and Jamal Murray left the court early with an ankle problem. Nikola Jokic can do a lot, but he can’t do everything. 

The Thunder are 50-15 - that’s the best record in the West by a country mile, and they’ve won six of their last seven. I’m taking the spread and not overthinking it.

Grizzlies ML | $2.15 @ VipLuck

By contract, here we’ve got two garbage records. The Nets are at 16-47, while the Grizzlies sit 23-39. It’s safe to say nobody’s booking a parade in either of these cities. 

But $2.15 on Memphis to win has caught my eye. 

Since trading Jaren Jackson Jr, their young guys have actually played well. Cedric Coward has been fun to watch, and there’s a scrappy feel about this group. Even though Ja Morant’s been out since January with an elbow injury, they’ve still managed to grind out wins without him, beating Dallas by 19 and Indiana by the same margin in back-to-back road games recently. 

Brooklyn have lost four of their last five and look mentally checked out. At these odds, against one of the worst teams in the East, I see value. Worth a look on some of the best betting apps too if you shop around.

Warriors ML | $1.75 @ Betandplay

I’ll be honest, I’m not in love with this tip. Stephen Curry hasn’t played since late January, Jimmy Butler is done for the season with a torn ACL, and Kristaps Porzingis has barely seen the court since Golden State traded for him. That’s a lot of talent sitting out for the Warriors. 

But then you look at Utah, who are 19-45 and have dropped five of their last six. Even with Jaren Jackson Jr arriving from Memphis, they haven’t been able to string results together. 

Golden State beat them 140-124 in Utah earlier this season, and even in their banged-up state, they snuck past Houston 115-113 on the road last week. I don’t know how the Jazz score enough to keep up here. 

The $1.75 price across sports betting sites isn’t thrilling, but sometimes the safest bets are the boring ones.
