Best Bets 2025/2026
I’m working off a single game for Wednesday NZT, but there’s plenty to unpack in this Spurs-Timberwolves series and I’ve found three bets on sports betting sites for Game 5. Victor Wembanyama is back after his ejection in Game 4 and Anthony Edwards is playing through a knee injury that doesn’t seem to be slowing him down.

San Antonio Spurs vs Minnesota Timberwolves Best Bet
Spurs -9.5 | $1.90 @ VipLuck
I think Wembanyama comes out with a point to prove.
He was ejected 12 minutes into Game 4 for elbowing Naz Reid - his first career ejection - and the league cleared him for Game 5 without further punishment. He’d been dominant before that, going for 39 and 15 with five blocks in Game 3. San Antonio are 35-10 at home and in the two home games this series, they won 133-95 and only lost Game 1 by two.
Edwards has been incredible - 36 points in Game 4, 32 in Game 3 - but he’s doing it on a bone-bruised knee. Minnesota have also been without Donte DiVincenzo since his Achilles tear in the first round.
I’m taking San Antonio to cover where the NBA betting NZ odds of $1.90 look about right.
San Antonio Spurs vs Minnesota Timberwolves Total
Over 216.5 | $2.00 @ Betandplay
Game 1 was the only contest in this series to finish under - a tight 104-102 affair. Since then, every game has gone over. Game 2 totalled 228 in a Spurs blowout, and Games 3 and 4 both came in at 223.
Both teams go hard at the rim. San Antonio rank third in field goal percentage and Minnesota’s offensive rebounding has been enormous - 15 offensive boards in each of the two Minneapolis games.
With Wembanyama back and Edwards in the form of his life, I’m expecting points from both ends.
San Antonio Spurs vs Minnesota Timberwolves Moneyline
Timberwolves ML | $4.50 @ Betista
This is my wildcard pick. Minnesota already won in San Antonio in Game 1, beating the Spurs 104-102 as sizeable underdogs. Edwards scored 36 in Game 4 on 59% shooting and he’s been carrying this team since DiVincenzo went down.
I’m not backing this as my primary pick, just to be clear. It’s a long shot.
But the free bets available at $4.50 for a Wolves win are tempting when you consider how tight Game 1 was. San Antonio lost that one with Wembanyama on the floor for 40-plus minutes.
At these odds in a tied series, I’m here for it.
