Best Bets 2025/2026

Tuesday’s NBA betting picks offer some sharp angles across best betting sites NZ markets. I’ve got a Detroit spread that looks generous, a Houston number I trust, and a Dallas pick paying overs in a game between two wounded teams.

Mavericks +2.5 vs Warriors$2.25 @ Betista

Detroit Pistons vs Los Angeles Lakers Best Bet

Pistons -4.5 | $1.90 @ Betandplay

Luka Doncic has been absurd of late. He’s scored 30-plus in every game of LA’s nine-game winning streak, including 60 in Miami and 33 to scrape past Orlando on Saturday. Easily the best player on the planet… yet I’m still backing Detroit.

Doncic picked up his 16th technical against the Magic but the league rescinded it on appeal. That makes this tighter. Still, LA are on the second night of a road trip and Detroit’s home record speaks for itself.

Cade Cunningham is out with a collapsed lung but the Pistons have won both games without him. Jalen Duren put up 36 points and 12 rebounds against Washington in the first of those. Detroit are 51-19 and 26-8 at home. I’d have set this line higher than 4.5 if I were a bookie.

Chicago Bulls vs Houston Rockets Best Bet

Rockets -5.5 | $1.85 @ VipLuck

Chicago give up 120.4 points per game. Kevin Durant put up 25 against Atlanta on Friday before Houston edged Miami 123-122 to move to 43-27. Alperen Sengun posted double-doubles in his last two despite back trouble this month.

The Bulls are 28-42. Josh Giddey is fun to watch but I can’t see where Chicago find enough stops here. Durant, Sengun, Jabari Smith Jr, Reed Sheppard – Houston just have too many weapons. On NBA betting NZ sites, $1.85 is fair for laying 5.5.

Dallas Mavericks vs Golden State Warriors Best Bet

Mavericks +2.5 | $2.25 @ Betista

Both sides are 2-8 in their last 10. Stephen Curry has missed 20-plus games with a knee injury. Jimmy Butler is done for the year. Porzingis, Horford, Payton II - all out too. Golden State are running on fumes.

Cooper Flagg is the reason I’m on Dallas. The number one pick is averaging 20.1 points and 4.5 assists, and had 27 points with 10 assists against Cleveland earlier this month. Kyrie Irving and Dereck Lively II are out for the season so Dallas lack depth, but Golden State are just as thin.

Dallas are 23-48 and 12-31 against Western Conference opponents, I know. But getting 2.5 at home against this roster? $2.25 on betting apps NZ punters can access is worth the risk in what’s essentially a coin flip.
