Best Bets 2025/2026
Wednesday’s NBA betting tips cover three picks across the afternoon games in New Zealand. I’ve got a Charlotte spread that looks generous given the Hornets’ scoring run, plus a Knicks moneyline and a home-court play in the big Suns-Nuggets clash. I’ll run through each on NZ betting sites below.
Best Bets
| Tips | Odds |
| Hornets -8.5 vs Kings | $1.90 @ Betandplay |
| Knicks ML vs Pelicans | $1.35 @ VipLuck |
| Suns +3.5 vs Nuggets | $1.95 @ Betista |
Charlotte Hornets vs Sacramento Kings Best Bet
Hornets -8.5 | $1.90 @ Betandplay
There’s a clear betting angle coming into this clash.
Charlotte are averaging 130 points over their last three games. LaMelo Ball dropped 29 on Saturday against Memphis and Moussa Diabate pulled down 14 boards in that same win. Kon Knueppel has scored 20-plus in three straight off the bench.
Sacramento are 19-53 and gutted by injuries. Domantas Sabonis is done for the season with a back issue, so is Zach LaVine. Keegan Murray’s also out with an ankle problem.
Charlotte won 117-109 at Sacramento two weeks ago, and at home against a Kings side with a 5-28 road record, 8.5 is a number I’m happy to lay.
New York Knicks vs New Orleans Pelicans Best Bet
Knicks ML | $1.35 @ VipLuck
$1.35 won’t excite anyone. I get it. But this is a multi leg, not a standalone punt.
New York are on a six-game win streak. They smashed Washington 145-113 last time out and Jalen Brunson has been brilliant - 28 points and 10 dimes when these two met in December, a 130-125 Knicks win. Karl-Anthony Towns is dominant at MSG. They’re 47-25 and pushing Boston for second in the East.
Zion Williamson can go off on any night, admittedly. He scored 32 in that December meeting. But the Pelicans are 25-47 and don’t have the depth to stay with the Knicks across four quarters. I’m locking this in as a banker.
Phoenix Suns vs Denver Nuggets Best Bet
Suns +3.5 | $1.95 @ Betista
Nikola Jokic is averaging a triple-double this season - 28.0 points, 12.6 rebounds, 10.6 assists - with 28 of them already. You don’t take Denver lightly. They’re 44-28 and rolled Portland 128-112 on Monday.
Yet Phoenix won 105-93 when these two met earlier and Devin Booker has looked sharp since the break. Dillon Brooks remains out with a hand fracture, but the Suns beat Toronto 120-98 on Monday without him. They’re at home and 40-32 - they need this for their playoff push.
Aaron Gordon is day-to-day for rest and Peyton Watson’s out with a hamstring strain. If Gordon sits, Denver lose a key piece against a Phoenix attack that punishes you everywhere. On the best sports betting apps NZ I use, $1.95 on the Suns keeping it within 3.5 looks like value.
