Best Bets 2025/2026
NBA betting tips for Thursday afternoon NZT, and I’ve got three picks across NBA betting NZ sites. The headline is Boston hosting the Thunder in a rematch of their thriller two weeks ago, but the real value might sit elsewhere - a Houston spread with Edwards sidelined, and a Spurs line I’m happy to lay.
Best Bets
| Tips | Odds |
| Thunder ML vs Celtics | $2.05 @ Betandplay |
| Rockets -3.5 vs Timberwolves | $1.90 @ VipLuck |
| Spurs -9.5 vs Grizzlies | $1.85 @ Betista |
Boston Celtics vs Oklahoma City Thunder Best Bet
Thunder ML | $2.05 @ Betandplay
I keep coming back to the price on this one. $2.05 on the best team in basketball feels generous. OKC are 57-15 and won this exact fixture 104-102 two weeks ago - without Jalen Williams. Williams is back now. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander dropped 35 in that game and has been on another level since breaking Wilt Chamberlain’s record for consecutive 20-point games. He’s averaging 31.5 for the season.
Jayson Tatum is still less than 10 games into his Achilles comeback and shooting 38.8% from the floor. He said after Sunday’s loss to Minnesota that he doesn’t feel like himself yet. Jaylen Brown has been carrying Boston at 28.5 points per game, and Nikola Vucevic is still out with a broken finger.
I’m siding with OKC on the best online sports betting lines.
Minnesota Timberwolves vs Houston Rockets Best Bet
Rockets -3.5 | $1.90 @ VipLuck
Anthony Edwards is out with knee inflammation, with Finch confirming he won’t suit up for this one. He averages 29.5 points - that’s not a gap you paper over.
Minnesota are 44-28 but have gone 5-5 across their last 10. Julius Randle steps up as the primary option at 21.2 points, and he’s been decent. But they beat Boston on Sunday largely because the Celtics collapsed, not because Minnesota were brilliant.
Without Edwards, they’re a team you can target. Houston are 43-28 and scrapping for the same playoff positioning. I’m backing the Rockets to cover 3.5.
Memphis Grizzlies vs San Antonio Spurs Best Bet
Spurs -9.5 | $1.85 @ Betista
Memphis lost 146-107 to Atlanta on Tuesday. Enough said.
San Antonio have won six straight, going 22-2 since the start of February. They demolished Miami 136-111 on Monday to clinch the Southwest Division. Victor Wembanyama had 26 points, 15 rebounds and five blocks in 26 minutes - pulled before the fourth. He’s averaging 24.3 points and 11.2 rebounds this season, right in the MVP conversation.
The Grizzlies are 24-45. San Antonio are chasing OKC for the top seed. I don’t love big spreads as a rule, but I’ve watched the Spurs cover double-digit numbers for weeks. Check the betting promotions on Betista before backing this one.
