Canberra Raiders vs Canterbury Bulldogs
March 19th, 22:00, GIO Stadium
The Raiders are back at home for the first time this season, and for that, they will be thankful. They come into this game with a record of 1-1, but their win in Round 1 was less than convincing, winning in Golden Point, then they were demolished by the Warriors in Round 2, 6-40.
The Bulldogs have only played once, which was their Golden Point win over the Dragons in Las Vegas (they had the bye last round). There’s a lot of drama at Bulldogs headquarters with a few players, so there’s a chance their heads may not be in the game. I think the Raiders can jump them and run away with the game.
Take the Raiders to win @ NZ$1.86.
Sydney Roosters vs Penrith Panthers
March 20th, 20:00, Allianz Stadium
The Roosters welcome the Panthers to Allianz Stadium, and with the way the two teams have been playing so far in 2026, it’s hard for me to go past the Panthers. The Roosters did get the win over the Rabbitohs last round, but the Panthers boast back-to-back wins and have only conceded six points across the two games.
Also, both Liam Martin and Liam Henry are available for selection in the game for the Panthers. The Panthers look to be humming along, and it’s still too soon to forget about the Roosters’ 18-42 loss to the Warriors in Round 1. Both teams have good attacking flair, but it’s the Panthers who look more likely to come out on top.
Take the Panthers to win @ NZ$1.43.
South Sydney Rabbitohs vs Wests Tigers
March 21st, 21:35, Polytec Stadium
Last but certainly not least, I’m turning my attention to the Rabbitohs and Tigers game on Saturday night. The Rabbitohs beat the Dolphins in Round 1, but couldn’t get the job done over their archrivals, the Roosters, last time out, 18-26. The Tigers have only played once so far this season, thanks to a bye in Round 1.
In their only game so far this season, the Tigers looked good, beating the Cowboys 44-16. The Rabbitohs come into this one as the favourite, but I do like the chances of the Tigers to cause an upset. This game is being played at Gosford, so there’s no true home crowd advantage.
Take the Tigers +8.5 @ NZ$1.57.
