South Sydney Rabbitohs vs Canberra Raiders
April 11th, 17:00, Optus Stadium
For the first leg of my multi, I’m looking at the Rabbitohs and Raiders game. The Rabbitohs will be looking to build on their two-game winning streak here, after getting the job done over the Tigers and Bulldogs. Things aren’t looking as good for the Raiders; they have lost four games in a row now.
The Rabbitohs are clearly the in-form team, and I think they can turn the tables on the Raiders, who have won the last two games against the South Sydney team. This one is being played at a neutral venue (Optus Stadium), but even without the “home” crowd, the Rabbitohs should be able to get the win.
Take the Rabbitohs to win @ NZ$1.54.
Melbourne Storm vs New Zealand Warriors
April 11th, 21:35, AAMI Park
Playing the Storm at AAMI Park is difficult for any team, no matter the recent form of the Melbourne team. The Storm are now outside of the top eight for the first time in a pretty long time. They have lost their last three games to the Broncos, Cowboys and Panthers.
The Warriors haven’t been that much better recently, losing their last two games to the Tigers and Sharks. The New Zealand team have just a 20% win rate at AAMI Park, and it looks like both Luke Metcalf and Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad will miss this game. I expect the Storm to bounce back here.
Take the Storm to win @ NZ$1.42.
Parramatta Eels vs Gold Coast Titans
April 12th, 16:00, CommBank Stadium
The Eels play host to the Titans on the first Sunday game, and they will be looking to bounce back from a Golden Point loss to the Tigers last time out. They have lost two games in a row now, including to the Panthers as well. While the Titans managed a win over the bottom-of-the-table Dragons, they suffered another loss to the Broncos last time out.
Eels coach Jason Ryles has massive issues with the backline, and there have been a couple of injuries to key players. While it’s not a good situation to be in, I still think they are a better (and more confident) team compared to the Titans. Considering the Eels are at home, I’ll be taking them to win.
Take the Eels to win @ NZ$1.58.
