Football Multi Bet: $9.57 Tip for Sunday

Three Premier League games on Sunday, three legs for this football multi bet. I’m backing two favourites plus one away win at a ground where the hosts have lost their last two straight. Combined, we’re just shy of 10x if these football tips hit.

Sunday March 22, 1:30am NZT, American Express Stadium

I like Liverpool here, and I’ve liked them all week. They’re fifth on 49 points, so it’s wins they’re after, not draws. Brighton away feels like one they’ll target after a frustrating run of a draw and two defeats in their last five.

Brighton are 12th and without Kaoru Mitoma, Adam Webster and Stefanos Tzimas. That’s a lot of talent not taking to the field.

Liverpool won the reverse 3-0 and thumped Brighton 3-0 in the FA Cup last month as well. Overall, they’ve won four of the last five meetings. Salah should be fresh, and Ekitike has looked sharp, so I’d be surprised if they don’t score twice here. Though you never quite know with this Liverpool side on the road. 

I like odds of $2.30 for Liverpool to win though, so I’m taking it.

Sunday March 22, 4:00am NZT, Craven Cottage

Pretty confident here. Fulham are 11th with eight home wins from 15, while Burnley are 19th with the worst defensive record in the division - 58 conceded in 30 matches. Away from Turf Moor, the record reads: two wins, three draws, 10 losses. Josh Cullen, Jordan Beyer and Connor Roberts are all sidelined, while there are doubts over Mike Tresor and Luca Koleosho too.

Fulham won the reverse 3-2. NZ betting sites have this at $1.60 for them to bag another win, which feels about right.

Sunday March 22, 9:00am NZT, Elland Road

I think $2.60 for a Brentford away win is generous.

Leeds are 15th on 32 points and winless in five league games. They’ve lost back-to-back home matches to Manchester City and Sunderland, and have conceded 48 goals in 30 matches. 

Brentford, meanwhile, sit seventh on 45 points. They’re pushing for Europe, and Igor Thiago has 19 league goals this season. He got his first Brazil call-up off the back of that form, which I reckon is pretty telling.

Elland Road under the lights can be intimidating, I’ll give Leeds that. But intimidating only works when you’re winning, and they haven’t been. Brentford drew 1-1 in the reverse fixture and I think they’ve improved since then. Kevin Schade and Dango Ouattara give them pace on the counter that Leeds’ backline just doesn’t handle well.

At $2.60 on betting apps in NZ, Brentford are the leg that gives this multi its nice return.
