The best of the this Saturday from New Zealand comes from Otaki.

THE DANGER – Knock Off

Knock Off has won two of his nine career starts and arrives looking to better his third place that he achieved in his last start. He usually gives his running and should find himself in the shakeup once more.

VALUE BET – Liquid Lee

If looking to back a horse at a price, it could be worth taking another look at Liquid Lee. One of the most experienced horses in the field, he has four wins and will be looking to build on his third place effort from his last start.

Our next best bet from Saturday’s Otaki card comes in the shape of Platinum Diamond. Having won two of his three career starts, he is one of the danger horses in the race. He will look to win from off the front and if given an easy lead, he could be tough to peg back.

THE DANGER – Spandeedo

Spandeedo is likely to start the contest as the favourite and bounced back to form with a convincing win during his last performance at Hawera ten days ago. The eye-catching nature of his last performance certainly suggests that he is the one to beat, there will need to be something special to beat him.

VALUE BET – Accentuate

Accentuate is the largest unknown factor in the race. A winner of his debut at Tauranga last month, there could be plenty of improvement to come and he could be one to back at a decent looking price.

BEST BET – Our Lady Brooke

Our Lady Brooke is likely to start as the slim favourite for victory in the final race of the day. Having won two of her ten career starts, she was a good winner last time out and takes a small step down in class here. She will be the one to beat.

THE DANGER – Tai

Tai could be the main danger in the race. Easily the least exposed horse in the field, he has just made three starts and won on his second start before then finishing as a runner up. Capable of mixing it up with his more experienced rivals, he could be one for the shortlist.

VALUE BET – Grand Prospect

Our long shot of the day comes in the form of Grand Prospect. Although he takes a step up in class here, he will have 8kg less to carry this time around than from his win last time out at Woodville.

Look for this horse to stay on strongly from off the pace.
