The best racing this Saturday in New Zealand comes from Trentham where there are multiple graded races that are taking place.

In what is a fantastic card, ahead of the first race we have run our eye through the card and picked out some of our best horse racing tips. As well as our exclusive tips we have highlighted three races which look to be the most competitive of the day. Lara Antipova – 1.70

I Am Belle – 6.50

BEST BET – Lara Antipova

Despite being a short price it’s hard to look beyond the chances of Lara Antipova in the Group 2 Windsor Park Stud Wakefield Challengw Stakes. Although this is a huge step up in class following her debut win, she represents top connections and she could be a horse of real potential. She is without doubt the one to beat.

THE DANGER – I Am Belle

In a race full of unexposed types, one of the most obvious dangers will be I Am Belle. Her debut win came at a much higher level than Lara Antipova and she ran well. Whilst there are massive hopes for Lara Antipova, I Am Belle could well push her all the way here.

VALUE BET – Lassified

The third of the last time out winners is Lassified and although that win was convincing, it came in a lower grade than her two market rivals. That win shouldn’t be completely overlooked so it could be that plenty of improvement is unlocked.

BEST BET – Lux Libertas

Lux Libertas is an intriguing horse and is one of our best bets of the day. A winner of five of her seventeen starts, she is lightly raced when it comes to both Group 2 and Group 3 contests. Having placed at this level, there will be hopes that she can put her narrow defeats behind her and land a first graded success.

THE DANGER – Marotiri Molly

It’s likely that Marotiri Molly will start the race as the favourite. Whilst we believe that she can be taken on, she has won at this level before, a level of form that no one in this field can compete with. She was poor last time out, and her followers will hope she can bounce back.

VALUE BET – Belles Beau

The value play could be with Belles Beau. Strong in a handicap grade, she is lightly tried at a graded level, having raced just once at this level, she didn’t land a blow but is better treated now. She’s better than the fifth place finish she posted last time out at in the Taylor Property Plus Spring Sprint and should be considered.

BEST BET – Atmospheric 

When it comes to horses on the up – the least exposed horse and arguably the most progressive is Atmospheric. Whilst she is relatively untried here, her handicap form would suggest that she can compete well here. As one of the youngest horses in the field, look for her to be right up with the pace as the race develops.

THE DANGER – Trav

At the other end of the spectrum is Trav. A horse that has done the bulk of his racing in this grade and higher, no horse has amassed as much price money and there could be more to come here. Don’t be put off by his recent form, if he arrives fully tuned up, he could be a real threat.

VALUE BET – Freddie Time

Freddie Time is our long shot of the day and there is a good chance that he can really compete at a big price. Whilst a win here would be a career best, his recent form is hard to ignore. With two wins in his last four starts, he is in some of the best form of his career, and he could well raise an eyebrow or two here.
