THE DANGER – More Bliss

The fourth race of the day suggests a fight between Miss Parker and More Bliss. With the two boasting similar form lines, the concern over More Bliss is whether she will enjoy a very heavy track. Her best results have come when the ground is good, the soft conditions could be hugely difficult to overcome.

VALUE BET – Dragon Blossom

Dragon Blossom has had fourteen attempts to try and shed her maiden tag, and she has hit the crossbar on five attempts. During her career she has encountered all sorts of ground and the ground will hold no fears. Although she is vulnerable to improvers, her chances have to be respected.

BEST BET – Del Inquent

The sixth race of the day looks hugely competitive, but Del Inquent looks an interesting proposition at the top of the market. With a third and second in each of his last two starts, he was unlucky not to have won on his last start with a narrow second. Conditions should be hugely favourable and another big run can be expected.

THE DANGER – Go Joanna

Go Joanna looks to be at a valuable price. She stepped up to metro class racing and found that too hot, but before that she placed second at Pukekohe Park where conditions were heavy. With that run showing she could be effective here, she has to be a danger to all.

VALUE BET – Thehorsecalledave

Thehorsecalleddave is another interesting contender who boasts a similar profile to Go Joanna. Having raced in the same metro race as Go Joanna, he also flopped but had finished third on his debut. With conditions calmer, he could massively outrun his odds here.

Some of War of Succession’s best results have come on a softer surface and conditions should be right up his street by the time the race jumps on Wednesday. Before misfiring on his last start, he had won three of his last four. His connections will hope his last run was a blip and if he returns to form, he could be hard to beat here.

THE DANGER – Sixth Generation

Sixth Generation has almost generated a million dollars in prize money and is by the most experienced in this field. Coming off a win last time out, confidence should be firing, and another big run can be expcted.

VALUE BET – Regal Wings

Regal Wings is our long shot of the day. Having won his last start, he is well bred and actually goes down in weight here. His soft ground form is more than respectable and he could outrun his reasonably big odds
