For those that read these previews regularly, you will know that two weeks ago we tipped up Lhasa and he didn’t disappoint. Showing a liking for the surface, he won well that day and could follow up here. He has more weight to contend with, but his chances can’t be ruled out.

THE DANGER – Ultimate Focus

Ultimate Focus is a multiple time winner at Cambridge and seems to have a real love for the artificial surface. He made his first start at the track for five months, two weeks ago and ran well to finish third behind Lhasa. He should be fitter on this occasion and looks areal threat this time around.

VALUE BET – Side Eye

Side Eye was also in the race that Lhasa won and finished three lengths behind. However, he could be worth a second look. He has won around Cambridge before and had he not blundered the start list time out, he could have ended up closer. At a huge price, he could well contend here.

BEST BET – Hayate

In arguably what is the hardest race to call of the day, it is Hayate who will likely start the race as the favourite. A winner of four of her 35 starts, she has come close recently with two second place efforts in her last four races. A multiple winner at Cambridge, she loves the track and could be a tough nut to crack.

THE DANGER – Above The Clouds

Above Th Clouds is a consistent performer and she heads into this race following a third-place effort at the track two weeks ago. That run was over a much shorter distance and the feelings are that a better performance is likely to come at a distance she enjoys.

VALUE BET – Pegasus

Pegasus is our value bet of the day and he is one of the most interesting runners on the card. A shock winner on debut, this race is far deeper, but he looked a decent horse when winning well. With improvement likely, his chances can’t be dismissed.

BEST BET – Brazen Affair

Brazen Affair is our best bet of the day and she looks to have found a great chance to land the second win of her career here. She has raced over track and distance once and that came last time out where she was able to finish second. Craig Grylls is an eye-catching jockey choice and there will be high hopes that she will go one place better here.

THE DANGER – Charity Vision

Charity Visions is the undoubted danger. A winner of one of his six starts, he has placed on 50% of his starts and he should be thereabouts once more. That first win came on his last start but with this being his first start on an artificial surface it will be interesting to see how he handles conditions.

VALUE BET – Mirrabella

Mirrabella looks to have a lot on her plate here, but she only finished one place behind Brazen Affair a few weeks ago. Whilst a placed effort looks to be the likeliest outcome, her chances can’t be completely ruled out.
