Happy Youmzain is our best bet of the day and looks to primed to strike in the third race of the Cambridge card. Resuming after 15 weeks off track, he raced at a higher level when making his debut and was a close fourth. As long as the break hasn’t had an adverse effect, he should go close.

The Danger - Guiding Light

Just like Happy Youmzain, Guiding Light will be making her second start and will hope to improve on her debut third which came at the track three weeks ago. That form has been franked since and it looked like a decent maiden that she competed in. This is tough but she has a live chance.

Value bet - Shady Mos

In a race where value could be hard to find, it could be worth siding with Shady Mos. A newcomer has the experience of Craig Grylls to call upon. Whilst he could well learn on the job, of those making their debuts, he makes obvious appeal.

Best Bet - Amira D’argento

In a wide-open contest, Amira D’argento looks to have every chance of winning the race at a decent price. Coming off a win on her last start, she also placed second in her start before. Few have been able to match her consistency of late, and she has to be one for the shortlist.

The Danger - Retrostar

Retrostar is likely to jump off as the warm favourite and after having made just nine starts there is every chance that more improvement could be unlocked. Whilst it’s been a few runs since he poked his head in front, he returned to form in his last start with a promising second and could build on that here.

Value bet - Mahoe

In a race of this nature siding with experience could be the way to go. Mahoe has hit the track a whopping 75 times and has won eight of those races. Whilst he is by no means prolific, he did finish second when last seen and he has shown on numerous occasions that he can compete and win in this grade.

Best Bet - Spanish Lad

Spanish Lad is set to be right at the top of the market, and he brings in form that very few in this field can match. Having form figures that read 1120 from his last four starts, he will hope to bounce back from his no-show last time out and with Craig Grylls in the saddle he looks to have a great chance.

The Danger - Trust Alone

Trust Alone could well jump off as the favourite and he will be looking to land a second career victory here. Having suffered a few poor runs, he bounced back well with a good second place finish at the track two weeks ago. Conditions should suit and he looks like he is trending in the right direction.

Value bet - San Simeone

San Simeone is our long shot of the day, and he could have a live outside chance. Having won just once in 26 starts, he has hit the crossbar in three of his last four starts and has been running with great consistency. Whilst there are others that have better form, few can match the level of consistency that San Simeone has been able to accrue in recent weeks.
