Rivals look to be in short supply in the race, but one horse to keep an eye on could be Side Eye. Although its almost been two years since he won a race, that win did come here. He has shown promise this season and is vastly experienced. If you forgive his last run, he finished second the time before and could go close if running to his best.

VALUE BET – Eight Lucky Prawns

If the top two in the market make little appeal, then the value in the race could well be Eight Lucky Prawns. A winner of just one of his ten starts, he doesn’t bring in great form but has shown he can run a big race on a going day. He has the experience to compete in this race which is a little low on quality.

In just a six runner race, Hastobefast looks to be the best bet of the third race of the day. Although the wins have been hard to come by, she enters this race with two consecutive second place finishes, with both of those efforts coming at the track. With form hard to find in the race, she looks to be one of the most likely candidates to win this contest.

THE DANGER – Rockin Rosie

The main danger looks to come from Rockin Rosie. Having finished third on her last start at the track, she has been off for a month and has the help of a 4kg claimer on her reappearance. She he has performed well at the track and if fired up and ready to go she can be a major player.

VALUE BET – Shamel Express

If you are seeking value than Shamel Express could be worth a second look. In a race where many have reached their ceilings, Shamel Express is fairly unexposed and could still be improving. The only horse who enters the race with a win on their last start, he looks to have a great chance of following that up here.

Wry Smile has placed three times at the track but as of yet has been unlucky not to have got his head in front. His last run saw him finish second and although strong at the finish he came out on the wrong side at the finish and his connections will be desperately hoping that this will be the time where everything finally falls into place and he can record a second career win.

THE DANGER – Who Said

Who Said should give favourite backers plenty to think about. A winner of two of his last four starts, he shocked bettors a week ago when winning at the track despite starting the race at long odds. This race looks winnable, and he could well follow up here.

VALUE BET – Madame Moet

Madame Moet is our long shot of the day. Despite not being a prolific winner, she has the second most prize money in the field and heads into this race with two consecutive second place finishes. She might find one or two good in this contest but is more than capable of running another big race here.
