THE DANGER – Thumbelina

The danger could well come from Thumbelina. Another who has run twice, she represents top connections and has raced on higher quality races than this in the past. She had lacerations after her no-show five weeks ago and if fully back to health could be a match for all in this field.

VALUE BET – Rolling Stone

With a host of unknowns, the value bet here looks to be with Rolling Stone. Although a nine race maiden, he has placed on three occasions and was third last time out. He has the experience and that could play a major role in this muddling race.

BEST BET – She Suits Herself

She Suits Herself should jump as the favourite in the third race of the day. Having run in open company previously where she finished second, this represents a big step down in class and looks to be a golden opportunity to get off the mark.

THE DANGER – Summer In London

The main danger could well come from She Suits Herself stable mate, Summer In London. Another who has been highly tried, she was a no show in the Grade 2 Lowland Stakes and is another big class dropper. Craig Grylls is on board and she can’t be discounted.

VALUE BET – Papparazi

Whilst Papparazi, doesn’t have the form of either of the top two in the market, he could represent some decent value. Coming off the best race of his career where he just failed to break his maiden tag at Tauranga a few weeks ago, expect him to hit the front early. If afforded a soft lead, he could take some stopping.

Wind Seeker – 14.00

BEST BET – Top Shelf

In the final race of the day Top Shelf will hope to send punters home happy. Although by no means prolific, he is consistent having placed in each of his last five starts. He could be vulnerable but usually gives his running.

THE DANGER – Volunteer

Volunteer could be the danger here. Having been able to shed his maiden last time out, that was in a similar level of contest and there isn’t too much to suggest that he can’t back that up here.

VALUE BET – Wind Seeker

Our long shot of the day is Wind Seeker. A good winner on his last start, he is unexposed to most in this field and could still have improvement left. He is a front runner and will look to dictate things from off the front. He could easily outrun his big odds.
