PIzarro was a last time out winner at the track roughly a month ago and that was the second win of his career. He is the obvious pace angle, and backers will hope he will be afforded a soft time of it out in front. If allowed to dictate, he showed last time out that he can win from off the front and if given a lead, he could be difficult to peg back.

THE DANGER – Hello Bess

By the time the race jumps off, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Hello Bess right at the head of the betting. Having just race twiced, she was impressive on debut but struggled when finishing down the field last time out. This is slightly easier ans we may see her return to her best.

VALUE BET – The Fed Express

In a race where many look to hold a serious chance, The Fed Express could represent some value. Lightly raced, he was also a winner on debut but was another who didn’t quite live up to the billing last time out. Clearly a good horse, he could well outrun his odds, and a big run can be anticipated.

Soul Destroyer – 14.00

BEST BET – Villasanti

Could this finally be where Villasanti pokes his head in front? A nine-race maiden, he has finished in the top three on every occasion and has bumped into good horses on several occasions. Clearly capable, this could finally be where it all comes together, but he will have to produce a career's best effort.

THE DANGER – Perlino

There is a good chance that Villasanti could yet again bump into a horse with real potential in the shape of Perlino. Having just run twice, she was green on debut but showed real improvement to narrowly finish third on her second run. There is a good chance that even more is to come here, and she could well be the main danger.

VALUE BET – Soul Destroyer

Soul Destroyer is an eight-race maiden but has threatened on several occasions. Having been off the track since May, she produced a great run on her return on Christmas Eve falling as a narrow runner up. With that run now under her belt, another big run can be expected, and she could look hugely overpriced.

BEST BET – Purple Prose

Although Purple Prose has just had the one victory from his twelve career runs, he has shown on several occasions that he can be a horse of quality in this grade. Having resumed racing for the first time in three months last time out, he ran well to finish second and should be much fitter here. A real danger to al.

THE DANGER – Mogul

In a race where the threats are multiple, a chance is taken on Mogul. He has made 30 starts and although not a prolific winner, he often gives his running and was a decent third last time out. That form has been franked further and he could be one to watch in the market.

VALUE BET – Flower Moon

Our long shot of the day is Flower Moon. Having won three of her sixteen starts, she was a winner last time out where she shocked the field at a big price. Likely to run off the front, she will be right up with the speed throughout, whether she has the class to hold on is the main thing to look out for.
