He has just had four starts and was unlucky not to have broken his maiden tag on his last start when he finished as the runner up. He brings in the best form and still has room for improvement. His chances have to be respected.

THE DANGER – Charlemagne

The main threat to History Maker has to be with Charlemagne. Yet to win after nine starts, he has been close on several occasions and has produced second and third place efforts in his last two. With experience on his side it could tell where so many arrive out of form.

VALUE BET – Chicflix

Whilst this looks like a battle between the top two in the market, Chicflix will hope to muscle in on the action. She hasn’t finished outside of the places in any of her last four starts and that consistency has to be respected.

BEST BET – Trust Alone

In the final race of the day, there are several horses that look to be in contention, but one horse that has to be respected is Trust Alone. Having finished as the runner up in each of her last two starts, her time for winning appears close and it could come here. Expected to be given a soft lead and with the rail to guide her, once she pokes her head in front, she could be hard to peg back.

THE DANGER – Gippsy God

Gippsy God is one of only two last time out winners in the race and she will be hoping to build on that victory here. Reconnected with Lynsey Satherley once again, the pair have struck up a winning connection and with conditions set to suit, another big run can be expected.

VALUE BET – Joejoeccini

Joejoeccini is the other last time out winner in the field and he looks to be a sneaky value pick. He will aim to be dropped into the back of the pack and finish with a charge, with less weight to carry than in his last start, there is plenty to like about his potential chances.

In the ninth race of the day, Age of Discovery is worth a second look. Whilst is form doesn’t exactly leap off the page, the jockey booking of Opie Boisson certainly does, and in a race of this nature and with two wins from six starts, he looks to be a major contender.

THE DANGER – Magice

Having made just three starts, Magice is still in the early stages of his career and has performed with promise. Yet to finish outside of the places and with a win already in the bank, this promising horse can certainly play a part here.

VALUE BET – Lachie

Lachie is our long shot of the day, and he looks to carry a live chance. Having enjoyed a fine record at the track, he was a winner when last seen at the course back in March. Whilst there are a few fitness concerns if he arrives fit and firing, he can certainly play a part on his return.
