Everton vs Coventry City Prediction: Betting Tips & Odds

Everton vs Coventry City Prediction
Everton welcome Coventry City to Hill Dickinson Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday morning NZT, with kickoff at 9am.
Everton have beaten Newcastle twice in four days, once in the Carabao Cup and once at St James’ Park. Another win would move them level on points with fourth-placed Chelsea.
Coventry have three league wins this season, and all of them have come against sides currently in the bottom half.
I’ve spent more time on what Coventry can’t do than what Everton can in this Everton vs Coventry City preview. My best bet is priced at around $3, and it needs a home side that doesn’t give much away. If you’ve got any betting promotions in your account, I’d point them at this one.
Everton vs Coventry City Analysis
Everton
Everton have kept four clean sheets in nine Premier League games, and their latest came at St James’ Park on 2 November.
That’s why I trust them here more than I trust their attack. Seven of their nine league games have finished under 2.5 goals, and they’ve scored nine times in total. Thierno Barry has four of those, including a tap-in against Newcastle after Lukas Hornicek let Tyrique George’s shot squirm under him.
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall drives most of what’s good about this team. He set up Barry’s goal in the 3-1 Carabao Cup win over Newcastle on 29 October.
I do have a nagging doubt about their home form. Everton have won two of their four league games at Hill Dickinson Stadium and scored five goals there, which isn’t much of a return for a side eyeing the European places.
Team News: Grealish’s availability is unclear after a disciplinary issue. Everton have no injury concerns.
Predicted Lineup: Pickford; O’Brien, Tarkowski, Branthwaite, Mykolenko; Armstrong, Garner; Rohl, Dewsbury-Hall, George; Barry.
Coventry City
Coventry haven’t drawn a single league game this season.
They’ve won three and lost six, and their home and away form look like two different teams. At home, they’ve put four past Newcastle and three past Sunderland. On the road, they’ve scored twice in four games.
Their 3-1 win over Sunderland on 31 October was their most convincing display yet. Taiwo Awoniyi finally got off the mark in the league with the second goal, 20 minutes after Tatsuhiro Sakamoto’s opener.
Jack Rudoni added the third early in the second half. He’s their main creative outlet, and he also scored at Tottenham on 19 October before Coventry fell away to lose 3-1. I’d expect most of their threat here to come from him and Sakamoto on the break.
Team News: Wright, Woolfenden, Eccles and Amenda are out. Thomas is a doubt.
Predicted Lineup: Rushworth; Van Ewijk, Mfuni, Pinnock, Dasilva; Yirenkyi, Torp; Sakamoto, Rudoni, Gboho; Awoniyi.

Everton vs Coventry City Prediction
Everton should win this, and I’d be surprised if Coventry score.
The difference in quality between these sides isn’t huge, but home advantage tips it Everton’s way for me. Coventry have been brave and open at home, while they’ve looked a lot more hesitant on their travels. And Everton’s back four has been the most reliable part of their team all season.
A 1-1 has crossed my mind more than once this week. But Coventry haven’t drawn in nine attempts, and I can’t bring myself to back the result they’ve never produced.
I’m not keen on a standalone goals bet either. Under 2.5 is short, and Everton’s home games haven’t been one-sided enough for me to trust a big winning margin.
You’ll find plenty of football tips backing Everton at $1.69, but I’d rather add a clean sheet to that for a better price. I’ve got this down as a 1-0 Everton win, with Barry scoring again.

Everton vs Coventry City - The Ultimate Bet
Everton to Win to Nil @ $3.00
I prefer this market to the straight Everton win.
All three of Everton’s league wins have come without conceding, and two of them were at Hill Dickinson Stadium. Coventry were shut out at Arsenal and Manchester City, and they’ve failed to score in five league games overall.
There’s a risk Coventry nick one on the counter, and I won’t pretend otherwise. But Everton have only conceded twice in league games at Hill Dickinson Stadium since the 2-2 draw with Manchester United in September.
At $3.00, I’m happy to take it, and you’ll find Everton to win to nil on most of the best online sports betting sites in NZ.
