Fulham vs Newcastle Prediction: Betting Tips & Odds

Fulham vs Newcastle Prediction
Fulham can climb above Newcastle in the Premier League table if they win at Craven Cottage on Sunday morning NZT.
That would’ve sounded far-fetched a month ago, given Fulham were bottom with two points from their first six games. But, Newcastle have lost four of their five matches in all competitions since the last international break.
My pick for this Fulham vs Newcastle preview comes from the goals markets rather than the result. It’s a short price, but it’s the outcome I’m most confident in. Kickoff is 4am, so I’ll have it on through one of our recommended NZ betting apps well before my alarm goes off.
Fulham vs Newcastle Analysis
Fulham
Fulham haven’t lost a league game since a 2-1 defeat at Ipswich on 10 October.
They beat Hull 1-0 at home a week later, then won by the same score at Coventry on 24 October when Oscar Bobb curled in an 80th-minute winner. I’ll give them plenty of credit for that clean sheet, because Coventry had put four past Newcastle less than two weeks earlier.
Their goals have been hard work. Fulham have scored exactly once in each of their last five league games, and their equaliser in the 1-1 draw at Aston Villa on 31 October was a Zion Suzuki own goal.
I’d want Joshua King on the ball in the final third. Fulham look different when the teenager gets turned between the lines.
I’m still not sold on them at home. They’ve won one of four league games at Craven Cottage, and Chelsea and Crystal Palace both scored three there. Palace also won 1-0 there in the Carabao Cup last week.
Team News: Sessegnon is back from a three-match ban.
Predicted Lineup: Leno; Castagne, Affengruber, Bassey, Robinson; Berge, Charles; Bobb, King, Iwobi; Garcia
Newcastle
Newcastle have been far more watchable away from home than at St James’ Park lately.
They won 2-0 at both Tottenham and Crystal Palace, but they also lost 4-1 at Leeds and 4-1 at Coventry. I can’t think of a less predictable side in the league.
Home has been grim. They’ve lost their last two league games there 1-0, to Aston Villa and Everton, without scoring. The Everton defeat on 2 November ended with boos, and they managed two shots on target from 17 attempts. Everton had also knocked them out of the Carabao Cup 3-1 four days earlier.
If I’m going to bet on football involving Newcastle right now, I want them scoring rather than winning. Harvey Barnes looks their best route to goal from the left, especially with Lewis Hall overlapping him.
Team News: Ramsey is suspended and Jaouen is out. Livramento, Miley and Fernandez-Pardo are doubts.
Predicted Lineup: Hornicek; Dedic, Schar, Burn, Hall; Gonzalez, Joelinton; Murphy, Willock, Barnes; Osula
Fulham vs Newcastle Stats and Trends

- Four of Fulham’s last five league games have produced two goals or fewer.
Fulham vs Newcastle Prediction
A 2-1 home win is my call for the result.
Fulham aren’t pretty to watch right now, but they’re organised and they’ve stopped losing. Newcastle look like a group low on confidence, and another bad result would send them into the international break in a real mess.
I’m not confident enough to back Fulham at $2.07. Their home record is poor, and Newcastle have the pace out wide to hurt them on the counter. I can see Barnes or Jacob Murphy nicking one, especially if Fulham get forward with both full-backs.
Over 2.5 goals at $1.68 feels about right to me. A 2-1 gets you there, but so many of Fulham’s games have been tight that I’m happy to pass on it.
If you’re up at 4am, I’d hold off on the result until you’ve seen how Newcastle start. Fulham’s price will drop fast on the best live betting sites if the first 15 minutes go their way.

Fulham vs Newcastle - The Ultimate Bet
Both Teams to Score @ $1.57
Fulham have scored in all four of their home league games this season, and they’ve conceded in three of them.
Newcastle have found the net in every away league game too. Their defence has let in 15 goals in nine matches, and Fulham have done enough going forward lately to get at least one.
I’ll admit $1.57 is shorter than I’d usually take for a headline bet, and Fulham have kept clean sheets in two of their last three. I just can’t see either defence holding out for 90 minutes here.
Those after a bigger price can add it to a multi with Fulham, but I’m happy taking it straight.
