Football Multi Bet: $10.01 Tip for Monday

Football Multi Bet
Pre-World Cup friendlies aren’t always great for multi bets - too many dead rubbers, too many experimental line-ups. But Monday morning’s slate is different. Germany and Brazil are both at home and desperate to fine-tune before the tournament, and the third leg of this football multi bet is an upset pick that I think has more going for it than the odds suggest.
Multi Bet Tip
| Legs | Odds |
| Germany to beat Finland | $1.30 |

Germany vs Finland
Monday June 1, 6:45am NZT, MEWA Arena, Mainz
Germany have won five straight - 6-0 against Slovakia, a wild 4-3 against Switzerland, 2-1 over Ghana, plus clean-sheet wins against Luxembourg and Northern Ireland in qualifying. Julian Nagelsmann’s squad scored 15 and conceded four across that run.
Finland are ranked 73rd and come into this one with mixed form. They beat Andorra 4-0 and New Zealand 2-0 but lost 4-0 to the Netherlands and 1-0 to Malta in qualifying.
I’d expect a comfortable win here - Germany will treat this as a World Cup dress rehearsal against a side 63 places below them in the rankings.
At $1.30 on football tips pages across NZ bookmakers, it’s my banker.
Brazil vs Panama
Monday June 1, 9:30am NZT, Maracana, Rio de Janeiro
Brazil at the Maracana for a World Cup send-off. Carlo Ancelotti’s side beat Croatia 3-1 in their last outing and have scored in every home match since the start of 2025. Panama are at their second ever World Cup but they’ve conceded four goals in four matches this year.
I’ve checked the legal betting sites in NZ and Brazil to win is at $1.40. This could be a big scoreline.
USA vs Senegal
Monday June 1, 7:30am NZT, Bank of America Stadium, Charlotte
Here’s where the value is in this multi. The USA lost 5-2 to Belgium and 2-0 to Portugal in March - Mauricio Pochettino went as far as calling that Belgium result a “reality check”. They haven’t played since, and Pochettino’s system is still taking shape with this group.
Senegal arrive ranked 14th in the world. They beat Peru 2-0 and Gambia 3-1 in friendlies, and went all the way to the African Cup of Nations final earlier this year - winning 1-0 in extra time on the pitch before CAF controversially awarded Morocco a 3-0 forfeit over a walkoff protest. That decision is still being contested at CAS, and Senegal paraded the trophy before their Peru friendly. They’re a side with confidence and serious depth.
I know the US have home advantage and the crowd in Charlotte will be up for it. But at $5.50 on new betting sites, I’m backing Senegal’s form over America’s recent results. It’s a risk - but that’s where this multi gets up to 10x.
