Norway vs England Prediction: World Cup Betting Tips & Odds

Norway vs England Prediction
Norway and England meet at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami on Sunday morning New Zealand time in a World Cup quarter-final. Throw in the Golden Boot race between Erling Haaland and Harry Kane, and me oh my yes boy, do we have a game on our hands.
In this Norway vs England preview, I look at the key angles and where I think the value is. I’ve got a goals pick paying $1.85 as my top football betting tips this week too.
Norway vs England Analysis
Norway
Erling Haaland has seven goals in five games. He scored twice against Brazil after doing very little for 78 minutes, which is the whole problem with trying to contain him - one moment of quality and it’s over.
Orjan Nyland has been outstanding in goal too, saving a penalty against Brazil and producing the save of the tournament. Norway don’t dominate games, but Martin Odegaard and Andreas Schjelderup are creating enough for Haaland to do the rest.
Team News: Ryerson is fit. No fresh concerns.
Predicted Lineup: Nyland; Ryerson, Ajer, Heggem, Wolfe; Berge, Berg; Bobb, Odegaard, Schjelderup; Haaland.
England
I’m more worried about England’s defence than their attack. Jarell Quansah is suspended after his red card against Mexico, and both Djed Spence and Reece James have dealt with injuries during the tournament. Whoever fills the right-back role will have Haaland’s movement to deal with.
Going forward, Jude Bellingham scored twice in 98 seconds against Mexico and Harry Kane has six goals. I’d fancy them to score, but stopping Norway is a different proposition.
Team News: Quansah suspended. Henderson doubtful with a wrist injury. Spence and James managing knocks.
Predicted Lineup: Pickford; Konsa, Stones, Burn, Trippier; Rice, Anderson; Saka, Bellingham, Gordon; Kane.
Norway vs England Stats and Trends
- Norway have both scored and conceded in all five of their World Cup matches.
- England have conceded in both knockout games at this World Cup.
- Haaland has scored in each of his last 14 consecutive competitive internationals.
Norway vs England Prediction
I’m tipping England to go through, but I don’t think they’ll do it comfortably. Haaland against a reshuffled backline is a nightmare, and Nyland has been too good to fold now. I can see a 2-1 or 3-2 here.
If you’re using the best live betting sites for this one, I’d watch for things to open up after 60 minutes when the Miami heat kicks in.
Norway vs England - The Ultimate Bet
Over 2.5 Goals @ $1.85
Norway have gone over 2.5 in every game at this tournament. England’s last three knockouts have all produced three or more goals. Neither defence has been airtight.
At $1.85, I’m happy to back goals here. I’m backing it through the betting bonuses being offered across NZ right now.
