Football Multi Bet: $9.11 Tip for Sunday

Four Premier League games fall on Sunday morning NZT and I’ve gone with three of them for this football multi bet. Arsenal are the safe leg at short odds, and then it’s Brighton and Sunderland doing the heavy lifting to get us past $9.

Arsenal vs Fulham

Sunday May 3, 4:30am NZT, Emirates Stadium

Arsenal are three points clear at the top and can stretch that to six before Manchester City play on Tuesday. They beat Newcastle 1-0 last weekend and drew 1-1 at Atletico Madrid in the Champions League semi-final on Thursday – gritty results from a side averaging fewer than one goal conceded per home game all season. Kai Havertz is doubtful with a muscular issue, but this squad has enough depth to cope.

Fulham have never won at Arsenal in the Premier League. Thirty-two meetings, zero wins. My football betting tips on this fixture don’t require much deliberation.

At $1.50, it’s the safe leg of this multi.

Newcastle vs Brighton

Sunday May 3, 2:00am NZT, St James’ Park

I’m going against the home side here. Newcastle have lost four straight and five of their last six at St James’ Park. Anthony Gordon is doubtful with a thigh problem, and Fabian Schar and Valentino Livramento are both out.

Brighton have been the Premier League’s form team – 13 points from a possible 15 in their last five fixtures. Danny Welbeck scored in their 3-0 Tuesday night win over Chelsea on April 21 and they haven’t lost to Newcastle since 2023.

At $2.70 on best new betting sites, this is the leg I feel most settled about.

Wolves vs Sunderland

Sunday May 3, 2:00am NZT, Molineux

I won’t pretend this is straightforward. Sunderland were hammered 5-0 at home by Nottingham Forest on April 24, and they haven’t won at Molineux in any of their recent visits. Not great reading.

But Wolves are rock bottom on 17 points with their relegation confirmed weeks ago. They haven’t scored a Premier League goal in three games and have lost 11 of 17 at home. Sunderland are three points off seventh and still chasing European football – I’m counting on that motivation producing a response after the Forest humiliation.

At $2.25 on best betting apps, this is the riskier leg, but I’m still confident.
