Football Multi Bet

Two Premier League games on Wednesday morning and I’ve doubled up on the Chelsea derby for this football multi bet. Man City to win is the banker, Chelsea to win is the second leg, and I’m pairing that same Chelsea game with under 2.5 goals for the third. Combined odds are just over $10.

Bournemouth vs Man City

Wednesday May 20, 6:30am NZT, Vitality Stadium

City are two points off Arsenal with two games left. Arsenal could wrap up the title tonight against Burnley before City even take the pitch, but Guardiola’s side have to win regardless – anything less and the race is definitely over.

Bournemouth have been excellent – unbeaten in their last five league games, including wins at Arsenal and Newcastle. City have won nine of the last 10 meetings between these sides though. Erling Haaland has 26 league goals and was rested for the Crystal Palace game on Wednesday before starting the FA Cup final on Saturday.

I can see Bournemouth causing problems at the Vitality, but if you’re looking at football sports betting markets for this one, City’s record against them is about as one-sided as it gets. $1.80 for a title-chasing side.

Chelsea vs Tottenham

Wednesday May 20, 7:15am NZT, Stamford Bridge

Chelsea haven’t won in the league since beating Aston Villa 4-1 on 4 March – seven games without a victory. On paper that should put me off.

Spurs are dealing with a massive injury crisis though. Kulusevski, Xavi Simons, Kudus, and Odobert are all confirmed out. Solanke has been nursing an ankle problem and is a doubt at best. Bissouma and Kolo Muani are also reported as unavailable. Roberto De Zerbi is working with about half his first-choice squad for an away trip to a side that has won eight of the last 10 meetings in this fixture.

I’m not confident Chelsea will look good doing it, but I’m backing them at $2.05 on top betting websites to get the three points.

Then I’m on the same game, with a different angle. Chelsea have scored one goal or fewer in all seven of their winless league games. Spurs are without Kulusevski (their most creative midfielder) and likely without Solanke, who has just three league goals this season. Richarlison has 10 and will lead the line, but Spurs’ attacking options are severely thinned out.

Neither side is likely to open up here, and under 2.5 at $2.75 on live betting sites looks right to close out this multi.
