Football Multi Bet: $7.79 Tip for Sunday

Four Premier League fixtures on Sunday morning NZT and I’ve gone across three of them for this football multi bet. Two selections involve desperate home sides chasing titles and top-four spots, and the third is a riskier away pick that gives the whole thing its value. Combined odds come in just under $8.

Arsenal vs Newcastle

Sunday April 26, 4:30am NZT, Emirates Stadium

Arsenal are level with City on 70 points and have lost two league games in a row - 2-1 at the Etihad and 2-1 at home to Bournemouth. I’d normally be wary after consecutive defeats, but Newcastle are in worse shape.

They’ve lost four straight across all competitions - Sunderland, Barcelona, Crystal Palace, and Bournemouth - and their squad is thin. Anthony Gordon has a hip problem and missed training again this week. Then there’s Tino Livramento who went off with a groin issue against Bournemouth and is unlikely to feature, and Joelinton who’s serving a two-match suspension.

I’ve checked football expert tips across multiple outlets and nobody is backing Newcastle here. Arsenal at $1.50 is the shortest price in the multi, but I’m treating it as the banker. Viktor Gyokeres has 12 league goals this season and Arsenal have won 12 of 16 home league games.

Liverpool vs Crystal Palace

Sunday April 26, 2:00am NZT, Anfield

Palace have been a nightmare for Liverpool this season. Two wins and a draw from three meetings before this one - including a 2-1 league win at Selhurst Park and a Community Shield triumph on penalties. I’m not confident enough to back a Liverpool win outright.

What I am confident about is both teams scoring. Liverpool have conceded in seven of their last 10 league games and their goalkeeping situation is uncertain - Giorgi Mamardashvili was stretchered off at Everton and might not recover in time.

Palace have scored in six consecutive away league games and Ismaila Sarr has been their most dangerous player across all competitions. At $1.73 on the best betting sites in NZ, this feels right.

West Ham vs Everton

Sunday April 26, 2:00am NZT, London Stadium

I freely admit this is the leg that could sink us. But $3.00 on legal betting sites for a 10th-placed side with European ambitions visiting a team fighting the drop feels like a fair gamble.

West Ham are 17th with 33 points and one of the worst home records in the division. All eight of their league wins this season have come against bottom-half opposition, and Everton - 10th with 47 points - don’t fit that description.

Everton thumped Chelsea 3-0 last month and beat Burnley 2-0 at home before that. Jarrad Branthwaite and Jack Grealish are out, but the rest of David Moyes’ squad is in decent shape.
