PSG vs Barcelona Prediction: Betting Tips & Odds

PSG vs Barcelona Prediction
PSG and Barcelona meet in the Champions League at the Parc des Princes at 8am on Wednesday NZT, and neither side has dropped a point in Europe yet.
My angle for this PSG vs Barcelona preview is the goals market rather than the result. BTTS at $1.25 is too short to touch on its own, so I’ve gone for a combo just north of $2 that pays a lot better.
It’s the pick of the round for anyone after football betting tips, and Barcelona’s injury list is a big part of why.
PSG vs Barcelona Analysis
PSG
I’ve got doubts about PSG’s defence, even after the Etihad. They’ve conceded in each of their last four games and kept one clean sheet in 10 this season, and Lucas Digne is likely to start at left-back, which isn’t ideal with Lamine Yamal coming to town.
Going forward, it’s a different kettle of fish.
They were 3-0 up on Manchester City inside 30 minutes last week and won 4-2, with Erling Haaland scoring twice either side of a Maghnes Akliouche strike. Ousmane Dembele got one of the goals. He’s now scored in six straight Champions League appearances, and he found the net in both of his meetings with Barcelona since joining PSG.
Their league form was patchy early, with no wins from the first three games. Six straight wins in all competitions have followed, mostly with the big names rested on weekends, and I’m not sure what more they could have done to get ready for this.
Team News: Mendes faces several weeks out with a thigh tear. Longoni is out and Mayulu is a doubt.
Predicted Lineup: Safonov; Hakimi, Marquinhos, Pacho, Digne; Neves, Vitinha, Ruiz; Doue, Dembele, Kvaratskhelia.
Barcelona
Barcelona have won all 11 games this season and scored at least twice in every one of them. Saturday’s 5-2 at Real Betis made it nine from nine in La Liga, equalling the best start in the league’s history, and they’ve got 39 league goals already.
But they’ve conceded first in eight of their last 11 Champions League games, and they’re down to two fit senior centre-backs for this trip. Cubarsi is one of them. I don’t know who’ll be next to him on the night.
Yamal is the player I can’t take my eyes off. He’s got nine goals this season, and I’m not convinced a 33-year-old Digne can live with him for 90 minutes.
Team News: Kounde, Eric Garcia, Christensen and Bardghji are out. Martin and Jesus are doubts. Raphinha is back after a muscle issue.
Predicted Lineup: Joan Garcia; Cancelo, Cubarsi, Martin, Espart; Pedri, Rodri; Yamal, Lopez, Gordon; Raphinha.
PSG vs Barcelona Stats and Trends
- PSG have won the last two meetings with Barcelona.
- Both teams have scored in each of the last five head-to-heads.
- Eight of PSG’s last nine games have gone over 2.5 goals.
- Both teams have scored in six of Barcelona’s last seven matches.
- PSG have won their last four home games in the Champions League.
PSG vs Barcelona Prediction
Barcelona’s fixture list was what I looked at first when weighing up a prediction for this clash.
Real Madrid come to Camp Nou five days after this, and Barcelona went close to full strength at Betis on Saturday. PSG rested most of their first team at Strasbourg. In a game this tight, that freshness could decide it.
That’s enough to tip me towards PSG, just about. Barcelona have the most dangerous attack in Europe right now and I’m not arguing that, but a patched-up centre-back pairing against Dembele and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia at the Parc is a big ask.
I’ll admit a 2-2 wouldn’t shock me. If Yamal gets Digne isolated early, this could swing Barcelona’s way fast, and I’d be the first to say I got it wrong.
I’ve got PSG winning 3-2. Plenty of bookies will run betting promotions on a game this size, and I’d point any free stake at the goals markets rather than the result.

PSG vs Barcelona - The Ultimate Bet
Both Teams to Score & Over 3.5 Goals @ $2.10
Barcelona’s wait for a Champions League clean sheet is up to 17 games, a club record.
Five of the last seven meetings between these two have produced four goals or more. No two sides’ Champions League games have produced more goals since the start of 2024-25 either, with 134 in PSG matches and 130 in Barcelona’s.
PSG have also scored six unanswered first-half goals in the Champions League this season. If they start like they did in Manchester, Barcelona will have to chase it, and I can’t see Raphinha and Yamal going a whole night without a goal. My real fear is a slow first half where both sides feel each other out, but neither of these teams plays like that.
Shop around the best legal sports betting sites, because $2.10 is the minimum I’d take.
