Just the one match on the card today, but it’s a good one. France face Morocco in a rematch of the 2022 semi-final, and World Cup 2026 odds have the French as favourites in Foxborough.

I’ve been checking football betting sites for angles on this quarter-final and I reckon there’s value in a low-scoring French win. Grab your free bets across NZ betting sites and betting apps before kick-off - I’ve got a three-leg multi from this single fixture.

Top Picks for World Cup Day 28 | July 10

France vs Morocco

France to win ($1.80)

I can’t go against France here. Five wins from five, 14 goals scored and just two conceded - no other side at this tournament has been nearly this dominant. Kylian Mbappe has seven goals in five matches and is right in Golden Boot contention. He and Ousmane Dembele have 11 between them.

Morocco deserve respect - a 43-game unbeaten run at international level is no fluke. I thought Azzedine Ounahi was outstanding against Canada with two goals in the round of 16. But Ismael Saibari’s hamstring injury is a problem. He went off at 22 minutes against Canada and his availability for this match is unclear. He’s their leading scorer this tournament with three goals.

France beat Morocco 2-0 the last time they met at a World Cup. I’d be surprised if they didn’t win again, particularly with Aurelien Tchouameni likely to return from the groin issue that kept him out of the Paraguay match.

✓ Long Shot: France to win to nil ($3.20)
✓ Extra Tip: Mbappe anytime scorer ($1.85)
