Esperanza has had two runs so far in her career and was able to taste success at the second time of asking. A winner over course and distance at the start of April, there could be more to come in this race and she looks the best value bet of the contest.

The Stella Artois Maiden kicks off proceedings on Wednesday and it looks like backing Denver could be a great way to start proceedings. Yet to land a race in five starts, he has two seconds in his last two starts and this looks an ideal opportunity to finally get his head in front.

THE DANGER – Sneak Peak

In a race where there look to be few threats, Sneak Peak looks the main danger to those wanting to take on Denver. Having just had two starts, he is yet to land a top three finish, but this looks like the race where it could all change. He could represent some great value.

VALUE BET – Dancin In The Dark

Dancin In The Dark has tried to get off the mark fifteen times but is so far yet to win a race. Whilst he looks a forlorn hope, he has masses of experience and with this race looking so weak, backing that experience could be a sensible thing to do.

The fourth race of the day is another maiden contest and this looks the perfect opportunity for Rise Companions to win the first race of his career. Easily the least exposed horse in the contest, he was a runner up on debut and he should go one place better this time around.

THE DANGER – Matzden

None of the horses with experience look to be worth backing, but Matzden looks like an exciting newcomer. Nicely bred, he obviously has plenty to prove on debut but if he can run well, he could give Rise Companions a real race.

VALUE BET – Bonnie Gem

Bonnie Gem has had nine attempts at trying to win a first race of her career but has often found one horse too strong. She may find Rise Companions a tricky nut to crack, but with a 37% place strike rate, she looks the best value option of the race.
